People often ask me how I manage to juggle my two businesses from home, being a fitness instructor, volunteering, and taking care of my family of five. Because it wasn’t always this way for me.
And, my answer is three simple words. Purpose. Consistency. Persistence.
I finally stopped trying to be what I was supposed to be and started doing what I love to do.
And, no I don’t have tons of time to invest in all of my various endeavors. But, we also don’t need a ton of time to be successful.
I’ve found that by simply dedicating 15 minutes of focused time consistently has brought me success.
This has literally worked in every aspect of my life.
No such thing as overnight success
First, let me say that there is no such thing as an overnight success. When you see a successful person, in anything, there has been much work, trial, and failure that has been unseen.
Remember, it’s what you do in the dark that puts you in the light.
And, I’ve been able to use this exact concept in many, if not all, aspects of my life.
When I was told that I had high cholesterol I began working out for 15–20 minutes per day. Within six months, my cholesterol was normal. You can read more about that here: How I changed my life in under 30 minutes.
In less than 2 years, I became a fitness instructor.
Then, I got certified in Yoga.
All of this in under 3 years and I am in the best shape of my life.
Once I got into shape and practicing yoga, I thought it would be cool to learn inversions. At the time (only a year ago,) I hadn’t done a handstand since high school.
But, once again, I started practicing 10–15 minutes a day, and I am completely amazed at my progress.
Again, I’ve used this same concept with cleaning out the clutter in my house. You can read about that here: De-clutter your home & De-stress your life.
And, honestly, I could go on and on about how this simple method of investing 15 minutes a day has transformed my life.
No excuses
We all have 15 minutes. It’s a manageable chunk of time.
What this really comes down to is your willingness to keep going even when it seems like you aren’t seeing results.
Because it won’t happen overnight. But, I promise you that if you align your purpose, you stay consistent, and you are persistent, then you will see success.
This simple practice has gotten me from a place of wanting more, to realizing that I can and do have it all.
PS — Have you taken the Brave & Bold Challenge yet? Five days. 15 minutes per day. Boost your confidence, get empowered, and start your journey to success. Your life is waiting.
