My husband is the most thoughtful gift giver. Last Christmas he bought me a photographic printing day. Weird? No. I left the corporate world in 2014 to become a landscape photographer, wanting to use art to inspire the protection of nature. As the environmental aspect of my photography evolved, I launched a magazine (2016) and an art gallery (2017). I focused so much on those things that my cameras started to gather dust. This gift reminded me that it’s important (for my sanity) to carve out time for my photography too. A year later I still make time to make pictures and I remember that precious gift.
