I had this feeling of extreme exhaustion as I sank in my couch in the evening after work. Kids played merrily around the house shouting, running and screaming. My head nearly burst. Typically, I had a long day at work. And, here I am at home, motherly responsibilities await. Not to talk of tomorrow, the routine continues. When will I have time to rest my mind?

Sometimes responsibilities limit our free time. Running tight work schedules, dealing with traffic on your way back home while on the other hand, the family needs your attention. It happens fast, and before you know it, days have passed, matured into weeks and life continues leaving you in stagnant circles.

But wait, why do you need some alone time?

· Relax your Mind and Body

It is your time. Think about the good things you have achieved so far. What made you smile? The things that make you forget those annoying and sad moments.

· Reflect and Set a Fresh Start

Storms will always be there. Family issues and work problems are part of our cultures. Plan on how to handle them. Prioritize them one after the other. Start again and change your failures into a success story.

It doesn’t matter how full your hands are, personal time is inevitable. I know balancing between family and work can prove hectic. Nonetheless, you need to achieve a perfect balance without necessarily taking a pill for a headache.

You must be wondering and asking with all these going on, where and when do I manage to create time for this? Well, walk with me and learn about it.

1. Late at Night

You are probably cursing right now, but, Yes. Sacrifice an hour or less before you call it a night. Night time is a better time that offers nothing but a serene environment. What’s more? The kids are deep asleep. You can as well as enjoy a cup of coffee on your balcony as you feel the fresh night breeze while you meditate.

2. Early Mornings

It is a plan to start a day with a plan. Set goals on what you ought to achieve. It is a good time since your mind is fresh from rest. Most people are still asleep at the time, hence, offering you a quiet time away from distractions and noise too.

Conclusion

You can only reward yourself handsomely by creating some alone time out of your busy day/s. Think about the rosy moments, plan on maximizing your efforts and defeat your failure. Before you sleep or early in the morning will serve the purpose just right. Rest offers a therapeutic value to a tired mind and soul too. Try to disengage your mind from stress once in a while for a better you.
