Some things are worth waiting for.

I know you’ve heard that before. But, here’s the deal. If you want to get better at something, you have to actually do it.

I agree that sometimes you should wait. But here are 3 reasons why people say you should wait when you actually shouldn’t.

Myth #1: Take it slow.

If you want to be a writer, you have to write. Don’t wait until you’ve learned everything.

Because let’s say after writing 20 articles, you become 5% better.

It doesn’t actually matter if you write 20 articles in 20 weeks, or 20 articles in 20 days. You will still become 5% better after writing 20 articles.

The same goes with learning any craft. If you want to get better, you must practice.

So basically, the timing and the rate at which you improve is up to you.

Myth #2: Wait until things “settle down.”

You know you are never going to have the time. Time is fixed. It’s not going to slow down or speed up. You are never going to get more time or less time.

It’s about setting your priorities.

“Do what is easy, your life will be hard. Do what’s hard, your life will become easy” ~Les Brown

Myth #3: Make sure that you are certain.

While you are waiting, someone else is starting.

Act while you are inspired. Listen to your gut. Because inspiration is fleeting. It is a childlike emotion, and self-doubt creeps in and kills inspiration the second you give it the chance.

Doing is the only way that you will KNOW that you are certain.

How bad do you want it?

It all comes down to how bad you want it.

It’s really up to you: do you want to go fast or do you want to go slow?

Because if you want to see real success in your life, your marriage, your business, or anywhere, you need to show up. Not when you feel like it. Not when it’s convenient. But every. Single. Day.
