Today, I want to share with you a look into my life. I always talk about healthy habits and how detox for me was so important because detox is just about staying healthy.

The word “detox” has become so popular in the last few years, and I am not sure why, but I know, for me, it is simple: I want to look and feel good every day. I want to stay out of the doctor’s office, and I want to have great skin. I do not want to have cellulite, and I do not want to have bags under my eyes.

I may be a health coach gone business coach, but I am a normal woman just like you. I drink a cup of coffee in the morning. I eat chocolate if I want, and, sometimes, I even munch on a chip because it makes me happy.

Life is about being happy and finding out what gives us pure joy, but, for me, to balance these acidic foods, I need to eat these foods and nourish my body these ways.

Beauty Tip #1

I start my day with a 24-ounce cup of water with lemon and 1/8 teaspoon of sea salt. This drink is a powerful beauty tonic to hydrate your body with natural minerals from the sea salt and alkalize your body with the lemon. Lemon also stimulates the stomach and the liver, increasing bile flow to be released to the small intestine. An alkaline body is key for good health and important for cellular regeneration, plus you get a boost of Vitamin C.

Beauty Tip #2

For many years I have used this beauty tonic. The Lemon Water Elixir is not only part of my daily ritual. This tonic balances the pH, cleanses the liver and gallbladder, supports weight loss, is rich in live enzymes and potassium, plus it decreases toxicity in the body.

Here is my recipe:
12 ounces room temperature water
1 teaspoon Bragg’s raw apple cider vinegar
Juice from 1/2 lemon
A couple of drops of stevia or raw honey (optional)
A dash of cinnamon

Beauty Tip #3

For years, I have used Epsom Salt baths, not only for myself but my children as well. For my children, I just use the plain Epsom Salts with a few drops of lavender, but, for myself, I take it up a notch to reduce cellulite and get my lymphatic system flushing. Your lymph is your sewage system, and this is where we have toxins that lead to a weak immune and fatigue.

Our lymph needs daily flushing, and this is a wonderful way to flush and relax. Soaking in a detox bath will give you magnesium and sulfate. Both are key for healthy detox, reducing inflammation, healthy bowel movements, and flushing out the toxic waste.

If you are a business owner like me or just a busy human living in the world, you cannot go without taking care of yourself emotionally and physically.
