The statement “Study Hard. Get Good Grades. Find a good job.” is already outdated. This is the statement on how our family imparted to us that keep you stuck to what journey would you like to pursue.
I realized that working in the corporate job is not my calling and there is another way where I can work and earn the smarter way.
I made a decision that I ventured in freelancing rather than being settled in mediocrity.
I listened and connected to the tens of people that I met online or offline during the meetup events or in the interview from the podcast. It takes time for them on how they achieved their success and how they can teach you to shortcut your success if you are willing to invest in their program or mentorship that resonates to your interest.
Being in the corporate world either local or abroad is a myth.
Don’t just sit down, wait, and be contented of just be ordinary.
Learn how to step up by making a decision.

Stop comparing yourself to others when you are starting out.
Don’t encourage yourself to resign in your corporate job immediately because of your excitement to take a leap in entrepreneurship. That’s a big mistake that you can make.
You need to build the right foundation first, make your freelancing career earn a sustainable income, and then have an exit plan to resign to your corporate job that you hate.
Here are the 3 limiting beliefs of working in the online world:
1. You need to be a business graduate, marketing graduate and have expert entrepreneurial skills to get started with your business. NO, you don’t have to.
I am an Engineering graduate. Being in corporate world make myself struggling and impossible to reach the goals that I want. I invested in myself to attend countless seminars, training, and networking events before I come up with the business that I would like to happen.
If I make it do it yourself, this will take 3 years to learn entrepreneurship. Because I invested in myself, I made it 11 months.
2. You need to be techy and have skills related to freelancing for you to get started with your freelance career. NO, you don’t have to.
There are nurses, engineers, etc. who get started as a freelancer even they don’t have skills related to freelancing. I had 3 attempts of enrolling in freelancing course before I landed the first client.
More and more people are venturing in freelancing because this is an opportunity of the future.
This will be your main foundation first as your stepping stone to have a clear exit plan to leave in your corporate world and venture in your business that you are interested in and passionate about.
3. You need to be a writer, mass communication graduate, journalism graduate, and have an English proficiency certificate to write a blog, ebook, etc. NO, you don’t have to.
I was struggling 8 months last year before I created my first blog on my website. It is just you make it habit of reading and writing for you to become a better writer. It’s not a that you need to have perfect grammar. The most important is the value that you deliver it to your audience.
The opportunity is not for everyone. It is only that of your decision to change. No one will decide for you, but only you. Entrepreneurship is not an easy journey, but your journey will be simplified to reach your business breakthrough and leave your corporate world that you hate a few months from now when you invested in the right mentors that resonates to your interest.
