1. Take A Moment To Stop And Reflect:

How do you feel inside? Are you comparing yourself to others? If so, a friend of mine recently asked me, “What is your measure of happiness/success? Are you focusing on your journey and the effort that you’re putting into your life?” It can be so tempting to compare your journey to someone else’s external success. Keep asking yourself the following questions:

“What’s important to you?”

“How can you celebrate your wins?”

“How can you focus on the energy of feeling good about yourself?”

2. Remember Your Wellness Goals:

What are your health and wellness goals? To reduce the amount of stress in your life? To feel mentally and physically good about your body? To create more happiness in your life? If your phone and/or Social Media is causing anxiety/stress, it’s fair to take a break and recognize that you need to take care of yourself first. You define your self-worth, not the number of ‘likes’ you receive. In the midst of all the noise, remember what makes you feel good despite everything that’s going on around you. Focus on how you can feel better and better every single day.

I’ve found that the “noise” has created greater awareness for me to prioritize and listen to my intuition. It’s given me more motivation to listen to what’s really going on inside to hear the voices within.

3. Clarify What Wellness Means For You:

What’s important to you about wellness? Is it feeling energetic enough to run around and take care of your children? Define wellness in terms of what matters to you. If you’re looking for balance and find it through taking soothing baths, long walks, or eating chocolate/ice cream, then do it. Focus on the things that make you feel good about yourself, even if it doesn’t make sense to anyone else.

A great reminder from this week — treat yourself the way you would treat your best friend. What would that look like?
