Have you ever wondered how successful people have been able to stay motivated in the face of adversity?
Successful people are relentless in their pursuit of success. They know what they want and they will go through great lengths to get it.
Thankfully there are strategies in place to keep the momentum going.
They Eat Healthy
We all know the importance of eating healthy. The benefits are too great to ignore. When we eat healthy we acquire more energy, more clarity, improved mood, and less stress. The list goes on. By eating healthy you will acquire the energy in order to work through what needs to get done.
They Time Block Areas of Focus
I have yet to find an overachiever that didn’t set some time aside to work on their goals. This step is imperative to productivity. If you are not scheduling a time to work on a project or work on your business, it will get placed on the back burner. Or worse, never get done. Make sure you set some time aside an hour or two each day to work on your goals or business.
They Work Out
This one goes hand in hand with eating healthy. Studies show that you feel more energized after a good workout. Your mood improves and you have that mental clarity to push you through the tasks you need to get done. Some people go as far as workout twice a day. A short 10 minute workout to start their day and then an hour workout in the evening. This helps regulate your energy levels for prolonged activity.
They Feel The Fear And Do It Anyway
Working with people and also knowing myself I know that this is a big problem for some people. Fear paralyzes people. Fear prevents you from taking action and it’s frustrating. Once you recognize that fear prevents you from moving forward, you will be able to address the core issue and be able to move forward. Acknowledging the fear is the first step.
They Focus On Finding Solutions
Most people allow themselves to get overwhelmed by the challenges they face, and quit when things get hard. Focuing on the problem is never the answer. Successful people focus on the solutions. Try this; next time you start to feel overwhelmed by your problems, try and make a list of solutions.
If you need support from your friends or coworkers, ask for it. If you need to do more research before you move on, schedule that research time. Just acknowledging your hurdles and finding out the next step is the best thing you can do to stay productive.
They Stay Mentally Tough
Being productive takes a lot of discipline on your part. Sometimes we wake up and decide that we will be productive. Most days we are not making the conscious decision to be productive. That is why staying mentally tough is essential to productivity. You have to discipline yourself. Some of my favorite things I do to stay mentally tough is meditation and affirmations especially when I am feeling less than motivated.
I hope that you will find guidance in the article when it comes to being productive. Remember that life is not perfect and you will have ups and downs but as long as you are consistent and applying some of these techniques, you will find yourself being more productive.
