The respect you have for yourself is one of the most critical factors determining your development and effectiveness, and the level of self-confidence is a decisive factor in everything you aspire to in life. When you reach the point where you believe in yourself completely, no outside barrier will stop you! If you want to build self-confidence outside, you need to be entirely coherent inside. Right?

Developing self-confidence begins with the acquisition of full and deliberate control over the content of your conscious mind, discipline yourself to think constantly ONLY about the things you REALLY want and decisively throw away what you are afraid of! Because you will not achieve much when each step you associate with fear, uncertainty, and indecision! Success at work, in sport, in love, in almost every area of life, depends to a large extent on your imagination about yourself, just imagining yourself and accepting yourself!

Remember that wanting to become someone else is a waste of the person you are!

The foundation of self-confidence is living following your values, while at the same time acting in harmony with your ambitions. In life, you will probably have many ups and downs (like myself!), awkward moments and difficult decisions to take, but the most important thing is that you stay in harmony with yourself!

The beginning of the conscious development of self-confidence was a turning point in my life and allowed me to go through the steep road to the place where I am now, a place where I professionally support people in developing their potential and reaching for more. But it paid off – the results are impressive and worth sacrificing!

The result of my journey is this 7 Steps Model below, which I want to share with you and which will allow you to start building your confidence TODAY!

Step 1. Take care of yourself

Treat yourself as someone particularly essential and valuable, with respect, love, trust, and support. Realize your deepest needs, such as the need for fun, rest, spending time with loved ones, healthy eating, etc. Find yourself a job that will give you joy, will provide you with pleasure and that you will do well. Be systematic and consistent!

Step 2. Step away from basing self-esteem on external factors

External factors, i.e., what others think about me, what my appearance is, what position I hold, what is my income, material status, what is my circle of friends, etc. Instead, begin to consciously base self-esteem on internal factors, such as my moral system/value system, which is essential to me in life, who I want to be, what I will leave, what are my goals, what is my life mission, etc. It’s a great feeling of release!

Step 3. Build self-esteem

Try to find these moments in your life, when something comes out. Make a list of things that testify to your value, strengthen and support yourself. Write down your successes (especially the small ones, because these are much more than the significant achievements seen through the eyes of people with outside and they are more “yours”) – always remind yourself of them! Build a strong belief that you are a valuable woman and learn to appreciate yourself. Ask yourself what your values are? What do you support? What are your most essential beliefs? What benefits do you strive for and how do you feel respect when others demonstrate it? These are fundamental questions, which only about three percent of the population deals with, and this small group is usually the influential elite of the business and politics world in almost every society.

Step 4. Work on accepting your flaws and imperfections

Observe yourself, your behaviors, thoughts, and emotions. Learn yourself, accept yourself – find out why you behave like this, and not differently – what does it result from? What thoughts, beliefs, and emotions lie at the heart of your actions? Understand yourself, and you will be more forgiving with each other! Focus on HERE and NOW!

Step 5. Increase your competences

Competence is the basis of self-confidence in specific areas of life. If you lack confidence, for example in relationships, give yourself a few months to explore the subject of relations and learn, for example, interpersonal communication from A to Z. For instance, if you lack confidence in public speaking, give yourself some time to explore the subject of speeches and speeches teach, eg body language, presentation design, etc. One thing, however, is worth noting that it is the practice that raises your skills and qualifications, so it is worth to educate systematically. Do not allow yourself an excuse – you can learn everything!

Step 6. Do what you fear

Expand your comfort zone – take challenges step by step!! Dare to do every day something that makes you difficult, which is new to you! Remember – everything is difficult until it becomes easy! We are all afraid of something, but we must master the ability to act despite the fear and doubt that is born in us. Test yourself if it’s a failure – it’s hard, it’s just a test, and every test has something to teach you.

Step 7. Set goals

And follow them with small steps, but do not give up – stay on the path to your chosen goal – it’s better to reach the target twice as long as you do not come to it! Stop planning on the principle of wishful thinking: “One day” or “I would like” … Not one day, but start TODAY, at the next opportunity, because it may be easier than you thought and the next chance may be no more to appear!
