the most beautiful moments in life seem to be those moments when suddenly the world i see shifts. it seems almost magical. from one moment to the next, the world i see changes.
it is in these moments that understanding happens, two sides who were moments ago fighting suddenly rest in this new vision. it is in these moments that innovation happens where like and unlike minds come together toes the same world they have always seen differently.
As i wrote my book, The Mosaic, i didn’t realise this was what i was writing. it is a simple story about a boy who loses his parents 2 years apart on the same day, and when he asks the adult where his parents are, they tell him “They are in Heaven.” So the little boy leaves everything and sets out to find the place called heaven.
The people he meets along the way are not the people you would imagine would be the ones to show him heaven, but instead common ordinary people. They are the people that seem to get overlooked. The homeless man, the street worker, the trashcan. They are the voiceless people that I’ve in a noisy world, but these are the people Mo (the protagonist) is somehow mysteriously drawn to sit with. It is in what happens in each of these conversations that the world shifts for him.
If you are looking for a book that will shift the way you see the world, if you are looking for a gift to give to your family and friends, i could not more highly recommend The Mosaic to you.
Please let me know how you experience it and what new perspective you see that you didn’t see before after reading it.
