Let me take you back to that moment…
It was a time of my life where I had just gone through a break up and decided to take a few months out to just ‘be’. I started becoming consciously aware of what was coming up by tapping into my own heart space again…
I had felt this void and wondered why I had placed so many of my dreams in someone else’s hands, then it just dawned on me. It was finally time to take control of my own dreams, passions and desires.
I needed to jump back into the driving seat and make magic happen…
I had followed an online life coach (Stacey Sargison) for sometime, and used to watch her motivational facebook livestreams on living a life on your terms and creating a life you truely desire.
It’s strange, but I had felt a soul connection with her, even though we had never met. A lot of what she said resonated with me, and in the back of my mind I knew I wanted to work with her one day, but just didn’t know when…
How do you know when? What’s your trigger to finally just…start?
Well, it was 12 am. I was done. I was done feeling the emptiness of not knowing what’s next and going over about excuses when would be the ‘right time’. There is no right time. I then felt a gut instinct to reach out and contact Stacey. It was an internal soul decision that felt right. The ‘internal compass’ that defies logic and tells you, Just Do It…So I did, we messaged back and forth between Sydney and London, and therein started our business coaching journey…
The journey of business that turned into a beautiful friendship…as we help each other rise, so do all aspects of our soul…
Well this is the power of sisterhood. Of women empowering other women and helping each other fulfill their dreams and desires. You see, coaching is very personal. It takes vulnerability, courage and strength. When you open up to someone else about all aspects of yourself (including your ‘shadow’ self) it creates a sense of trust, knowing you’ve placed your precious life path in someone else’s hands to nourish and help grow. It is the knowing that they are your supporter that keeps nudging you on, and sometimes helping you with your mindset, sense of self, offering insights which sometimes only your closest friends and family can see.
This often doesn’t happen in business, we’re taught to be cautious and aware, develop boundaries in business, don’t show too much vulnerability as it can be seen as a weakness. Well for me it was the opposite – it became my strength and sparked a deeper connection to develop and a deeper understanding of myself that could start to see doors that needed to be unlocked….
This was the beginning of a beautiful soul sister friendship that had even more chapters to follow…
Transitioning from a virtual to physical connection – from London to Sydney
I just had that good old gut feeling again as was keen to see my ‘virtual’ business coach in person here in Australia. We had been doing our coaching calls online for a few months and the time was approaching for a 1:1 intensive strategy day so we both thought, now is the time!
Arriving in Sydney, it felt like we had known each other for ages, as if old friends. Inspirational ideas starting cropping up from the moment Stacey got off the plane and it was so refreshing to have a like-minded soul on the same wavelength as me – someone who loves travel, is brave and not afraid to take a risk, who dreams big, and who has a massive heart that genuinely wants to help and empower others. It was like I had met part of my ‘soul tribe’.
Inspiration and creativity blossoms in the most interesting scenarios…
I had thought maybe my ideas might come, when I’m brainstorming, with my laptop, deep in planning mode. Little did I know, I would start receiving magical inspirational ‘downloads’ when Stacey and I would start to discuss ideas and be ‘in the flow.’ It started opening up a vortex of possibilities. From beautiful walks along Sydney’s coastline, to the breezes of the fresh salty ocean air, a new idea would suddenly spring open and I’d get out my notepad, or we would do a ‘live stream.’ It was teaching me to be ‘in the moment,’ to not overthink it, and to just go with the flow and the answers will come…
New business ideas and collaboration possibilities started to emerge, and then another turn in the adventure took place. My coach fell in love with Australia and decided to extend her trip…and here we are in the same time zone, a year ago not ever having met to a whole new adventure of limitless possibilities…
Who knows what’s next? I do know one thing though. When you say “Yes” to yourself, so many more amazing things start to unravel, doors open, opportunities present themselves, and you get the drive to think outside the box of even broader ways to fulfill your dreams…
My dreams started off to combine executive coaching and change management with Reiki; and now it’s extended to MBA leadership coaching, personal coaching, inspirational writing, speaking and various global avenues to encourage, support and inspire others. I can see the ocean of possibilities now, with a new wave emerging….
