I recently was blessed with the chance to sit down with Mitra Manesh, an incredible human who has truly lived the best of both worlds in business and in mindfulness.

Mitra can be classified as a mindfulness thought leader who has been coaching and educating others through stories for over 35 years.

Mitra began her journey at a young age and meditation in 1985. She trained at the Transcendental Meditation (TM) Center in Perth, received private lessons from the Buddhist monk, the Venerable Dr. Vivekananda, studied Taoism in Canada, and graduated from the Sacred Path Program at the Shambhala Meditation Centre in LA.

Mitra brings mindfulness at UCLA’s School of Neuroscience and Human Behavior, Mindful Awareness Research Center. She also brings mindfulness to workplaces and people’s homes through executive coaching and training. Her clients include individuals seeking peace and clarity, celebrities, and Fortune companies like Amazon, Merrill Lynch, Unilever, Hugo Boss, and many more.

While she spoke to me from the comfort of her beautiful place in Los Angeles, she spoke to me of her app, Innermap, her experience during the time of this pandemic and quarantine, and her personal philosophy that all of our actions are important in the world, regardless of how much we’re suffering. This includes one of her personal setbacks that she disclosed to me, that being dyslexia.

The best ways to connect more with Mitra are to listen to her soothing voice on her app “Innermap” and listen to her on her podcast, “Lights On.”

She was born in the East and raised in the West. May her words inspire you as we all seek more certainty, peace, and growth in a time of planetary slowness.
