Spring time is here! And the fascinating thing about seasons, is that they will always, be here. It doesn’t matter what is going on in the world. Whether it be the political, societal, economic, or cultural issues of the day, the seasons will never change. That’s the beauty of Mother Nature. Even if we are not in perfect timing, she always. . .is!
The first day of Spring was a hot day. At least for the time that I decided to step outside, and gather a breath of fresh air. It felt so right! It felt refreshing. Just to walk outside of the house and to know that life is great! Even in the midst of an epidemic! Life is beautiful! That too, will never change. Having a family friend stop by the house, as hands were washed and hand sanitzer was given, was another living proof of beautiful things happening all around us.
Spring is one of my favorite seasons. It is the time when nature gets to show off, all of the secret, and silent, work that she was doing in winter’s slumber. Her myriad colors, the beautiful flowers, and wonders of nature she has created. Sometimes she even changes up her dressings. Keeping humanity guessing, and on our toes for all of the aesthetics, that she is able to create. She demands that we explore and appreciate her every detail.
This Spring 2020 is different. It requires an unusual appreciation and approach to the times. Unfortunately, we can not gather together, in the ways that we are used to, to enjoy her presence. In fact, we are currently in a time, where we are encouraged to stay inside our homes and socially distance ourselves from other people. Its not wise to attend the latest flower festival. Rubbing our hands through the flowers along with other attendees. That could result in catching a sickness, resulting in months of finding a treatment.
For some reason, this year’s 2020 Spring is requiring us to explore the emotional, mental, and spiritual representations of spring. This time we can not simply rely on Spring’s physical presence. The flowers, greenery, fresh air, blooming of delicious and exotic fruits and vegetation. No. What is now required is for us to also see Spring 2020 as a way to bring these energies into our home. Sure, we can set up fresh flowers, as a reminder. Simultaneously, spring has to be in our hearts, minds, and Souls.
So, what does this entail? May you ask. Well, for one it means getting into creativity mode. Stop seeing the current, public health epidemic as a barrier, or a stop sign. Now, is the time to get into the performance and practice mode, of creativity and healthy living. One of the beauties of not having to go into work, is that we have more time to get our health in order. Getting into healthy schedules of meditation. Straightening out our sleep patterns. Reconnecting with family members, and strengthening our support system. If work has gotten us off centered, then it is time to re-center.
During this Spring 2020, we have to train our minds, and nurture our Spirits to think of fruition. What is it that we would like to produce and create? How can we get there? How can we train our bodies in the way of Spring? Treating our them as a work of nature should be one of the focal points for this year’s Spring.
There are so many things that we can do to channel our inner Spring. One of those is improving our eating habits. Eating naturally. Having a Spring-filled feast is also a powerful way of using Spring’s representation to bring peace and prosperity to our lifes. During times of crisis, or a global health epidemic, it is time to. . .stop. Of course, not forever! Briefly is enough. And, if they have to be temporary steps, then let it be so.
In these times, it is important for us to listen to what the Earth is trying to tell us. Have we been treating her in the way that she deserves to be treated? Have we been taking care of her? Have we appreciated her to use the natural vegetation of her existence? If not, how can we use this time to re-connect ourselves with her? That includes building our immune systems, and making our bodies stronger, in order to get through this challenging period.
When it is all said and done. . .this is a test! We are being tested, and it is very imperative for us to understand, that at some point, we have to be. What is happening is that the essence of our humanity is being examined? How will the human species pull through, during these trying times?
The current Spring has more depth and healthy meanings. For, as we continue to use the powerful messages of Spring, in bringing peace into our lives (and yes, we can still have peace), let it be known that humanity is entering into a new period. A new phase of healing our Spirits from a rigorous workforce. We are being forced to stop! Stop from our robotic lifestyles and learn the true meaning of living! So, let’s stop. Relax. And, spring into our journey of well-being.
