TG: What’s your secret life hack?

BZ: Read everything. Information is golden.

TG: Name books that changed your life?

BZ: Fierce Invalids Home From Hot Climates and Confederacy of Dunces

TG: Tell us about your relationship with your phone. Does it sleep with you?

BZ: It was an arranged marriage and we retain separate beds.

TG: How do you deal with email?

BZ:  I answer them as quickly as possible. I always respond, even if I don’t have the answers right away. A simple mere acknowledgement is a professional courtesy that goes a long way.

TG: You unexpectedly find 15 minutes in your day, what do you do with it?

BZ: You mean I’m caught up on emails? Great. Now I can catch-up on paperwork.

TG: When was the last time you felt burned out and why?

BZ: Two weeks straight of nightly show coverage followed by hitting the ground running each morning at 8AM to route 25+ tours between my own clients and the territory I cover for our department…plus the bulldogs who live in my apartment. They have this whole thing about eating and being walked every day.

TG: Share a quote that you love and that gives you strength or peace.

BZ: “Illegitimi non carborundum.”

TG: What gives you energy?

BZ: Plants

TG: What’s the first thing you do when you get out of bed?

BZ: Remember that question about dealing with email?

TG: When was the last time you felt you failed and how did you overcome it?

BZ: It’s rare to have a day, let alone a week with a perfect score card. With each failure you dust yourself off, learn, get better and be sure to never make the same mistake twice.

TG: What other steps do you take to improve your productivity and performance?

BZ: It sounds cliché but eat healthy and make time for exercise. There’s a reason these old pearls of wisdom have stood the test of time.
