Can we survive staying home?
Tough question for many people. First of all if you’ve got kids there are many sites with help on keeping the kids busy. A tall task I’m sure. Here are a few that I found:
There are many more but hope this can get you started.
Now, if you have teenagers I think that’s a bigger challenge. Playing video games with them, having discussions about different topics, taking walks through the woods, and I’m sure there are more. Be creative. Or simply ask the kids what they’d like to do.
No kids? Mazel tov! Hopefully their grown and out of the house. You can Facetime or Zoom with them. Get to see the grandchildren too.
- Video chat with other family members and friends.
- Take long walks in the woods.
- Read books – you know the ones you always said you want to read but never found the time.
- Listen to music.
- Put a puzzle together.
- Find substitute TV programming now that all sports are suspended until further notice.
- Work out. You know, those exercises you’ve seen others doing. Or maybe take out that exercise bike or other piece of equipment you haven’t used in years.
When you’re finished with these, start over J
Then there’s contemplation. Why am I here? Have you ever wondered? Now’s a good time to find out. I found out about 5 years ago. It’s been a life changer. This isn’t a commercial. I’m not getting paid for this. I’m passing some information to you.
I had been suffering with depression and anxiety. My husband died of lung cancer, I had to retire because of a medical condition. I couldn’t stand for too long or walk too far. Now, if you’ve ever seen a nurse working, you know she’s got to be able to do both of those. I couldn’t. Other problems cascaded down and I just couldn’t shake the mental illness.
I know that many people are suffering from the same mental issues I did. Some from the Covid-19 virus, and others started before that. I found the only thing that really helped.
Did you ever wonder why you’re here? I mean here on this planet. Well, let’s just say it’s not what you think. I am suggesting to you to watch the following video. Just watch it through. You just might learn something.
Good luck to you all.
