Claudia Romo Edelman, a Mexican-Swiss Diplomat is a Special Advisor to UNICEF, and We Are All Human. We Are All Human is an organization devoted to promote tolerance diversity and radical inclusion to fight racism, xenophobia and discrimination. She currently serves on the board for Bank Street College of Education, Hispanicize, and Agrosmart. She is a judge for the D&AD Impact Awards and is an official adviser for the Cannes Lion SDG Awards.
Romo launched her career as a journalist and press correspondent for Latin American media companies such as Notimex, Proceso, and Infoemred Monitor. Recognized as a strategist in communications and media, Romo has run PR for the World Economic Forum in Switzerland (1999- 2007), the United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR), and the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, TB & Malaria.
In 2016, Romo worked in the Executive Office of the Secretary General for the United Nations helping to lead communications and advocacy on the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development Goals and Climate Change. She was a marketing professor at the University of Geneva for the MBA specialized in international organizations, IOMBA. Romo has MOOCs on marketing in platforms such as Coursera and holds a Masters of Political Communications from the London School of Economics. She also has degrees in Communications, Philosophy, and Photography.
A frequent public speaker as an activist and moderator her areas of expertise are Radical inclusion and diversity; Hispanic issues such as market opportunity, identity, representation and perception; Migration; Sustainable Development Goals and larger global issues of Gender equality, education and early childhood development.
