Yesterday I bought a coffee for the homeless woman, and the Bakery youth handed me a free sausage roll for her.

Lets tell the positive stories. We already know the scary ones. And if you are able to work from home, the first thing I would say to you is congratulations, I think this is a privilege and I feel very lucky right now to be able to do so.

Having said that, earlier this week my Beloved was at home PRINTING which is maddening, both the noise and the fact the job could be done digitally. Today we are more sorted, here are my tips;

  • Try to work different shifts with Partners if space is limited.
  • If your kids are off school consider changing their times around. I do not expect my kid to study for 6 hours like in school, as a lot of that is registration, moving classrooms etc. Mine are doing 4 hours.
  • And heres your chance to add to the curriculum! Find out what your child is studying and research films/books/recipes/projects that enhance that subject and are less laborious than trying to supervise book work.
  • Dont feel guilty for fiddling around on Instagram or whatever. In the grip of a crisis anything you can do to stay happier is good. Get outdoors, bake, phone your rellys, try on all your clothes, support local business and food banks – you know what makes you feel good, so ALLOW IT.
