cristian marino

Cristian Marino learned to love the food at his parents’ local restaurant in Calabria in southern Italy. To explore the world, before leaving Italy, Cristian made sure that he attained enough of what Italy has to offer by working in different regions inside Italy. He left the south for the north where he studied at the “E. Maggia“ institute in Stresa on the Maggiore Lake.

Cristian was an intern at Disneyland, in Paris — and now runs an empire of experience in more than 20 countries, and 10 different 5-star hotels and restaurants. His culinary skills sparkled in Silversea cruises, a six stars cruise ship, in cities from Spain, UK, to Croatia in Europe, Russia, Middle East Africa, and Asia.

Talking about Cristian’s schedule

Cristian’s schedule is very unpredictable but organized, at least how he phrases it. He goes where he is needed and sometimes travels up to 10 times a month. This year he spent most of his time working in Surabaya in Indonesia, and also participated in the Marriott chef meeting in Bali. Chef Marino now is performing as a chef consultant in Dubai. He is bringing Mediterranean freshness and high-class experience using his specialized culinary skills.

Never losing sight of his roots, food-loving, with past experiences as executive chef at Intercontinental Bucharest, and Radisson Blu Sofia in Bulgaria and split in Croatia – chef Cristian Marino proves that when it comes to delivering world-class dishes – Dubai is his oyster.

Futuristic, sparkling new, multi-cultural, and always pushing beyond the limits, is Dubai, United Arab Emirates – a city that sprouts out of the sandbanks of the Persian Gulf.

Dubai is packed with the international restaurant providing with different cuisines – you just name it – it’s all in Dubai.

But what’s interesting about Dubai is that the Emirati food is not all that commonly found at restaurants. The reason being, most Emiratis still eat local food at home. However, that scene is now changing, and you’ll find some traditional Emirati restaurants, and also restaurants that serve cuisine from the Arabian Peninsula.

Not only that but when you find an Italian chef preparing some amazing dishes in 5-star hotels of Dubai, the scene completely changes. We are not talking about a random chef, but a highly experienced and a known connoisseur; Chef Cristian Marino.

After outlining the “blueprints”, he appoints and supervises all the restaurants. Cristian leadership style has been described as strict, even nitpicking.

Cristian, a chef who has never lost sight of his roots. Just as the Internet spreads around the globe, so too does his accessibility to the foods from every continent. But Chef Cristian Marino reaches beyond the variety of easily transportable foods grown at the expense of flavor to seek out succulent, flavorful, and essence of fresh foods.
