While I spend my days as the President of Huntington Learning Center, my expertise extends far beyond education. My journey has led me to wear many hats, each deeply rooted in my passion for the arts –  as a collector, producer, philanthropist, and curator. Through AMH Industries, the creative agency I founded, I’ve curated over 30 exhibits across the country, shaping narratives and fostering artistic expression. My work has also extended into the realm of documentary filmmaking, where I’ve served as an associate producer on acclaimed projects like ‘The Price of Everything’, ‘The Art of Making It’ and one that is currently in production. Moreover, my commitment to philanthropy has driven me to raise over $30 million for various charitable causes through my endeavors in the arts. With this rich tapestry of experience, I am excited to share insights that bridge the worlds of education and the arts, igniting meaningful dialogue and shaping cultural discourse.

As I look ahead, I envision a future where art continues to evolve, guided by curators who cherish experimentation and challenge conventions.

In the ever-evolving landscape of contemporary culture, the role of an art curator stands as a guiding force, shaping narratives, preserving history, and fostering artistic expression. Below are a few reflections on the art curator’s role, illuminating the intricate layers of their craft and the profound impact it carries:

  • Curating art is far more than arranging pieces on walls; it’s a symphony of history, culture, and personal connection. Just as a writer weaves words to create a story, an art collection combines a visual narrative: my art collection is a living chronicle of my life’s chapters—each piece serving as a bookmark in the narrative of my journey.  Unlike the transient nature of social media timelines, a curated collection is a tangible and lasting testament to the curator’s growth, experiences, and emotions, all immortalized in various artistic forms.
  • Embarking on the journey to become a curator is a blend of passion, knowledge, and unwavering dedication. It begins with an innate love for art—a flame that has burned within me since my earliest days. My diverse background and multifaceted roles, spanning from my position as President of Huntington Learning Center to my role as collector and philanthropist, have paved the way for me to carve a path that connects from the board room to a museum event while staying true to myself. And, the concept of curator is far bigger than art; it’s bringing concepts together that may seem disparate yet fit perfectly at work, in day-to-day or in building an art collection.
  • Becoming a curator encapsulates passion, a dash of rebellious spirit, and an innate ability to appreciate beauty in various forms. Whether you’re an ardent art enthusiast or simply someone who views the world through a creative lens, I invite you to take a page from my journey—embark on the voyage of curating your own narrative, one brushstroke at a time.

As I look ahead, I envision a future where art continues to evolve, guided by curators who cherish experimentation and challenge conventions. My collection becomes a testament to the boundless possibilities of artistic exploration, reflecting the evolving tapestry of human creativity. As we venture further into the world of art, let our story inspire us to curate our own narratives, one piece at a time.
