They say you’re never ready to become a parent and I think that’s true. We did the math and it didn’t quite add up: Two artists living in New York City + climate change + petty politicians + the loss of our independence = maybe not. But, we’re risk takers, so we rolled the dice and before she arrived, we readied ourselves by writing her a letter.

This poem is that letter. It’s a message of hope amidst the fear of birthing anything new. It’s for our baby girl (now 2 weeks old), but we hope it will resonate with new parents and daughters alike.
