In a conversation with us, Emilia Taneva throws light on creating a career as travel influencer and building ‘Bubbly Moments’, a brand that reflects her positive spirit and boss lady attitude.
Inspiration usually comes in different forms and nature. What inspired you to become a world traveler?
I’m originally from Bulgaria and I have been practicing Orthodontics in Chicagoland for the last 5 years. Ever since I was a little kid, I wanted to travel the world, to see what’s out there, and to experience different cultures and cuisines. I spent a big part of my early 20s traveling in Europe as part of a dental student organization. After I completed my residency in Orthodontics in Chicago, I started traveling once again more often and I was eager to share my adventures. The more I traveled, the more inspired I was to start a blog, Bubbly Moments, and share my experiences.
Inspiring positivity and motivating people through your work is believed to be one of the toughest jobs in the world. Tell us in detail about how you are touching lives through Bubbly Moments?
I’m passionate about travel and orthodontics. I love capturing the beauty of my surroundings, the most precious moments, and to tell stories through my images. My goal is to inspire positivity and motivation. I hope more people pursue their true desires, dreams, and express their passions after reading BubblyMoments.com and following me on Instagram. I hope my audience is gaining valuable information about different destinations. I would love to motivate the younger generation to succeed in their careers, propel them to travel, experience different cultures, broaden their horizons, and create more memories. When I’m not jet-setting, I share dental and orthodontic tips with my followers who also requested that I start giving healthy smile advice. Now, with my baby on board, I spend more time in Chicago and I enjoy showing off pregnancy style against the Chicago skyline backdrop.
How do you keep yourself away from negativity? What motivates you to keep creating more?
My schedule is usually so cramped up that I don’t really have the time to stop and notice any negativity around me. At any given time I have several completely different tasks, goals, or projects that I’m working on. I try to have at least one day per week completely free so I could enjoy with my family and my beagle pup, Max or just spend poolside with a thriller book. Travel also does wonders for my mental and emotional health and gives me extra motivation to keep up with my day to day tasks once back home.

Who is your favorite Instagrammer/ blogger?
I have been following the White Coat Investor website for the last 4-5 years. It is a personal finance and investing blog for medical professionals that helped me learn a lot about managing my own finances, taxes, and real estate. It was actually the very first blog that I read and it contributed to making the decision to start my own website, Bubbly Moments. Otherwise, my favorite travel and fashion Instagrammers are Kiersten (the Blonde Abroad) and Leonie Hanne (OhhCouture).
What is your dream about taking your blogging/ travel journey to the next level? How do you plan to grow next?
In the next few years, I see Bubbly Moments as a much bigger platform, taking on new challenges over time. I would like to launch video content, a product line or a book. I’m also passionate about finance, investing, real estate, and saving for retirement. Those are some of the topics I would like to cover in the future.

What advice would you like to give to the coming of age bloggers/ influencers?
Anyone looking to start a blog or become an influencer should not expect success overnight. It might take years and a lot of effort to build an audience. It’s important to start with a niche and a theme in mind. Are you passionate about beauty, fashion, home decor, food, travel, finance, saving for retirement, web design, games? Do you like to cook? Are you a gardener? When you are passionate about a certain field and consistent with your posting theme, an audience will follow. I would suggest defining long-term goals, creating a content schedule, and developing a website first. The website is something that you personally own. Social media change algorithms constantly and can lead to a lot of frustration. You don’t want to be discouraged at the very beginning.
