If you feel like exercise is an uphill battle, I can relate.
I suffer from asthma which most days makes getting moving that much more challenging. No matter how hard I try, or how perfectly I train I will never win a race – ever. But we both know that isn’t the point is it?
I exercise to be a healthier version myself, to breathe the air outdoors, and to take a break from the crazy busy day. I exercise because I am worth it and because my body needs it regardless of the empty trophy shelf.
I snapped this picture during my walk/jog today.
For the first time in months my asthma is finally letting me go jogging without my lungs burning on fire and my legs feeling like oxygen depleted lead weights.
I was so happy I almost cried.
I could do this today because even though I had months of struggling, I refused to give up.
I will never give up.
I know I’m not alone.
So many of reading this also have health issues that make exercise difficult. I hear you. I see you. I applaud you for standing tall and also refusing to give up.
We are in this together. Let’s keep cheering each other on.
Hugs to all of you my friends!
