Spring is almost here — so it’s time to clean out the medicine cabinet, and also time to travel for Spring Break. Since seasons change, so does your skin. Whether you’re looking to switch skincare products or you need something different because you’re traveling to a different part of the world, it’s a good idea to test it out first.

Many people would rather receive a free sample of a prestige skincare product before they spend their hard-earned money on it. Well, these four brave women took the absolute far out test! In a new series of short vignettes (view teaser video here) with National Geographic, four celebrities from around the world traveled to some of the most extreme and beautiful places on earth. They actually put themselves and their skin to the test with a special facial treatment essence. What’s special about this unique essence, is that it contains more than 90% Pitera, which is a clear liquid derived from yeast that’s rich in vitamins, amino acids, minerals and organic acids.

This miracle liquid was accidentally discovered more 35 years ago in Japan that helped deliver beautiful, crystal clear skin, diminish wrinkles and improve firmness. It was a total shock when scientists finally noticed the soft tender hands of sake brewers that sharply contrasted with their wrinkled and aged faces. With over 50 micro-nutrients, this precious broth made from the yeast can condition skin and help soothe skin surface concerns that can be caused by a range external aggressors such as harsh UV and pollution. The skin is then able to lock more moisture from within over time to overcome dryness, which can be caused by exposure to extreme hot and humid, as well as cold and dry conditions. Believe it or not, scientists actually spent years looking through 350 yeast strains to isolate a special type of yeast strain that produces Pitera. When they discovered it, scientist Takashi Yoshiji said, “We knew we had found something very special — a gift of nature that will transform skin for generations to come. Even today, we are constantly making new discoveries about its efficacy after 30 years.”

The new series which launched recently, comprises of four riveting short compositions following the unique adventures of four female celebs, as they subject their skin to the perils of some of the world’s toughest environments from the Yanbaru jungle in Okinawa, Japan to the Anza Borrego Desert in America. These four brave women are:

  • Chiara Ferragni, global fashion icon
  • Kasumi Arimura, award winning Japanese actress
  • Nini, celebrated Chinese actress
  • Lee Siyoung, top South Korean actress and national boxer

In “Face The Wild,” Hannah Reyes, of National Geographic Explorer explored diverse ecosystems, topographies and cultures with each of the four female celebrities in extreme conditions such as sub-zero temperatures, harsh UV, dryness, sweltering heat and pollution.

In “Face The Camera,” celebrities bravely take on a one of a kind on-location beauty shoots with notable fashion photographers — Jesper Mcilroy and Kirk Cheung to see if their skin truly withstood the test of the environments with the help of this one of a kind facial treatment essence that’s made of 90% Pitera.

Chiara Ferragni, global fashion icon, undergoes a stressful expedition to explore the ancient topography of the parched and scorching Anza Borrego Desert, one of the most arid places in Western America, fighting dehydration, dizziness and dry heat. Watch her extreme expedition here.

Kasumi Arimura, top Japanese actress and SK-II brand ambassador, battles harsh UV, sweltering heat and biting insects on a photo assignment in the oppressively hot and dense Yanbaru jungle in Okinawa, Japan. Watch her expedition and extreme experience here.

Nini, top Chinese actress, endures a challenging trek through a frozen and moisture-less mountain range in Northern China, subjecting her skin to the tortures of bitterly cold sub-zero temperatures and arid conditions. Watch her extreme expedition here.

With this special minerals and vitamin enriched clear liquid, it’s possible for all women to gain confidence to see the world with no constraints. They can experience the transformative power of crystal clear skin when seasons change and — no matter where they travel to, no matter how hot or hold cold, and now matter how dry or how humid the weather may be.
