Too much-unrelieved stress will hurt you in ways you cannot imagine. From strokes and heart attacks all the way down to unhealthy eating habits. These are some tips on how to relieve stress by eating healthier.
1 : Avoid Excessive Caffeine.
A cup in the morning gets you going, but too much coffee or soda adds an extra strain on the body by increasing blood pressure and blood sugar levels. Most soda is mainly carbonated water and high fructose corn syrup with caffeine. Try unsweetened green tea instead. This way you can sweeten to taste. 2 Carry your own Healthy pizza.
Under the go and need a boost go and learn how to make pizza. Try making your own trail mix. This will occupy your mind hence reducing the chances of overthinking by being busy. Your self-made food will make you feel full longer by including flavors of your choice and a little kick. Always eat in moderation. Carrots, celery and sunflower seeds are also healthy alternatives to be included.
3: Eat a Healthy Breakfast and Carry your Lunch.
Never leave in the morning on an empty stomach. You will probably overeat on unhealthy food later om Breakfast helps maintain your blood sugar levels throughout the day while carrying your lunch allows you to control what kind of healthy foods you want to eat instead of grabbing something unhealthy because it’s faster.
4: High Fiber Fruits and Veggies are our Friends.
Boldly colored fruits and vegetables contain high sources of antioxidants, minerals, and fiber which help to fight disease and reduce bad cholesterol levels which can cause strokes and heart disease. Healthy eating reduces the chance of the stress of suffering from health complications. Water and Plenty of it. Eight to Ten glasses a day is the average. Another way is to take half your body weight and put ounces behind it instead of pounds. For example, a 200 lb man needs to drink about 100 ounces of water a day. This works out to about a half to a gallon of fluids a day. Skim Milk and fruit juice are other alternatives. Staying hydrated helps the body flush toxins from your system to keep you healthy. Dehydration causes lethargy, headaches and an annoying thirst which can be very distracting thereby adding to your stress.
5: Exercise.
Just a brisk walk around the block after dinner can do wonders to relieve stress. Doing some aerobics in the gym will be best. When combined together these tips can help you relieve stress thereby giving you the extra push you need to get you through your day. Healthy eating will always give a positive contribution to your body. Mind your diet.
