Thrive Global: What’s the first thing you do when you get out of bed? George Lesko: Stretch a bit and I look out the window before I get started with my day.
TG: What gives you energy?
GL: Accomplishment and progress.
TG: What’s your secret life hack?
GL: Shaving and brushing my teeth in the shower.
TG: Name a book that changed your life.
GL: “The World According to Garp.”
TG: Tell us about your relationship with your phone. Does it sleep with you? GL: Next to my bed. I do use it as my alarm but I am rethinking this.
TG: How do you deal with email?
GL: I do let it build up a bit and I have told as many people in my world, professional and personal, not to use it for anything urgent if they need action from me.
TG: You unexpectedly find 15 minutes in your day, what do you do with it? GL: Take a walk.
TG: When was the last time you felt burned out and why?
GL: My last job for sure. The politics was overwhelming and we had to disband our team.
TG: When was the last time you felt you failed and how did you overcome it?
GL: On the golf course. Can’t wait to try again. I’m positive that I know how I can improve.
