Know Your Boundaries

When it comes to running an online business that has no set operating hours, many entrepreneurs take that to mean they must work all hours of the day and rarely take breaks. To avoid this, George chooses to set regular working hours much like an office, where he will respond to clients and undertake work. He does this to stop work life taking over so he can have regular breaks and enjoy spending time with family.

Regular Exercise

Exercise is well known for producing endorphins in the brain that are said to help improve your mood as well as productivity. So it’s no surprise that George has a regular fitness routine to help look after his body as well as his mind. His schedule consists of high intensity interval training at least 4 times a week, as well as weights training and hockey matches. He enjoys fitness a lot as it allows him to relieve a lot of work related stress and reset in order to avoid burnouts.

Get Enough Sleep

Sleep can be an essential part of avoiding burnouts as it impacts all aspects of our physical and mental performance. Without a full night’s sleep, George often finds it difficult to concentrate. He has realized that if he sleeps for 8 hours, he is able to focus for much longer periods of time without getting distracted or procrastinating. Some people turn to coffee when they haven’t been able to get enough rest, but for George, he swears there’s no such thing as a substitute for a proper rest for your body and mind.
