We humans are creatures of habit and I’m likely one of the most habit driven people. That stems from my dependable, non-spontaneous, fact-driven perspective. Last week I shared my top three tips for changing your perspective. You can see those in my last article titled “Changing Your Perspective”. When I look at changing my perspective on life, I find that there are deeper levels that we can go to that allow us to see things from a different perspective on a deeper level. Today, I want to take you to that deeper level. The place where you are going to see the big shifts happen more quickly so that you can see a more dramatic change in your perspective on life.

1. Affirmations. This is something I talk about often and I even offer a three week long intensive to guide and support my clients with this. I have seen so many things change in my own life from using affirmations. The reason things have changed is because I changed my perspective. I changed my thought patterns. One of the most basic ways to do that is to use affirmations. For me an affirmation is simply a positive opposite statement to counteract the negative statement that keeps running through my head.

I recently have been experiencing some BIG negative self- talk due to the fact that my business is not bringing in the paying customers and cash that I need. So, I’ve put myself through the same paces that I ask my clients to do. What I’m seeing is that the affirmation I have been using isn’t big or bold enough.

Even though I am still working on that one, there are so many areas that I have successfully changed my perspective. I now see my body as the beautiful work of art that she is instead of the imperfect vessel I once thought here. I gained the confidence to quit my six-figure 9-5 and believe fully in my abilities to make my life whatever I want it to be. These are things ANYONE can do!

2. Comfort Zone. I’ve talked about this one before too. But this is another one that is proven time and time again in my own life to propel me forward and open my mind to different perspectives. This doesn’t have to be something huge, but if you can bring yourself to do something that makes you uncomfortable, you will find that you start to see things differently.

The first time, I practiced this, I had a bad experience. In fact, it was so bad, that I even cried on the spot! But I learned so much from the experience and just taking the action gave me confidence. Confidence in my abilities to do anything I set my mind to as well as confidence in my ability to handle whatever happens. I wouldn’t be an entrepreneur today, if I hadn’t taken that first small step outside my comfort.

Is there some small action you can take today that feels uncomfortable?

How about you, have you gone deeper to change your perspective? Have you done some deep internal work to achieve your goals? I’d love to hear from you in the comments.
