Be in the moment

There is power in our daily decision to embrace the good life. Our well-being results from a mindset to nurture our emotions & thoughts. Community with a sense of belonging is essential to our happiness.

The Action for Happiness gives us 10 keys for happier living. https://www.actionforhappiness.org/10-keys-to-happier-living

Keys open doors! Today let’s remind ourselves to give time to do something for another person. This will help us connect with others, as people respond positively to kindness. Live in the moment, learn new things, set goals, and look for something good. We are encouraged to take care of our bodies, find ways to bounce back, and be comfortable with who we are. Lastly, become part of something greater than yourself. This could mean joining a support group, meetup, place of worship; all to find meaningful living.

Specifically focusing on the key, Be Part of Something Bigger: “People who have meaning and purpose in their lives are happier, feel more in control and get more out of what they do. They also experience less stress, anxiety and depression. But where do we find ‘meaning and purpose’? It might be our religious faith, being a parent or doing a job that makes a difference. The answers vary for each of us but they all involve being connected to something bigger than ourselves. “

Today let’s take a moment to focus on what matters most. Find something to be grateful for. Connect in a meaningful way to community. Our happiness now will splash onto others & society to bring the much needed hope & encouragement.
