Wellness
When it comes to interacting with people at work or outside of work, we often are put in situations that directly affect our ego, pride, self esteem, security, ambitions, pocketbook and/or relationships. As a result, we became resentful and bitter. This in turn, directly impacts our quality of life and how we perceive the day.
“This gift of life is so precious and rare. We are given a short period of time, which will become history, to display our true potential as human beings. We can either accept this gift or throw it away.
No matter your race, gender, age, class, abilities, limitations, or environment, you have the opportunity to do something amazing in this lifetime! This has been proven throughout history.
Our existence should reflect our purpose, meaningful and positive. As most of us are presented with challenges and misfortunes, we should capitalize on these opportunities and take them as our fuel for emotional growth.
I hope everyone has an amazing experience in this lifetime and grows towards something that is truly a reflection of this wonderful gift of life.”
-Bobby Bains
How often do we say, “it was a crazy day today” or “thank god this day is finally over!”
Unless a change occurs in your subconscious mind, this cycle is repeated over and over again and the only feasible retreat seems to be a couple of drinks, sweets/junk food or a vacation.
Being that these “temporary feel good solutions” can cause serious health issues and/or be quite expensive, it is suggested to work on the psychological health barriers that cause you to “take things personally” in the first place.
In most cases, you were not even the target to begin with.
A life coach can help address your reoccurring behavioral patterns and work to reprogram your subconscious mind.

Wellness Tips by Gobind Wellness:
Take the Suggestions
Taking suggestions and trying new things will cause you to go against your thinking and create new opportunities for yourself. Unless you are happy with the way things are going in your life, I suggest you try new things and break the “repeat cycle.”
The best way to describe the smell of a rose is by suggesting to smell the rose itself. There is no other better way to experience the smell of that rose.
Similar to those who enjoy wine. You tried it, you enjoyed it, you had a great experience and so you did it again.
The same goes with the suggestions that are made by Gobind Wellness Life Coach Services. Try them and evaluate the experience that follows. If it’s a good experience then it’s safe to say that you should take more suggestions.
Journaling
The biggest reality check for us, men or women, is when we make a conscious effort to journal our thoughts and experiences of the day.
The truth can always be manipulated and excused in the mind, as the mind is driven by a hundred forms of fear, anxiety, and resentments. However, when journaling, the truth cannot be altered as it has been written down. Typically speaking, You stop the mind from traveling far from reality with its made up “stories.”
Suggestion…..
When journaling, you want to see where in your day you were you selfish, dishonest, fearful and/or resentful, as all of these physiological thieves rob the mind of it’s ability to think clear and prevent any personal growth/wellness.
Furthermore, make a list of things you are grateful for, then relax and release. For those individuals who have a spiritual connection with the universe, this is a great time to ask that energy to help remove all that is blocking you from growing.
Journaling is meant to be fun, so write without any filters and don’t worry about spilling the truth.
Make a Fear List
Many of us have experienced or are currently experiencing fear of what others think of us.
This usually stems out from the psychological health barrier of ego, where we need to ensure that people see us as “someone who has it all together.” Otherwise, we “look bad” in front of others and have this common belief that we are being judged or rejected.
As this can cause prolonged worry and fear, you may be subject to the onset of mental health issues such as depression and/or anxiety.
Love and accept the person you are today!
Remembering, that people are just as concerned about you as you are with them, which most likely is little.
Most individuals live busy lives and usually do not have the extra time to constantly be thinking of others, unless, when holding a resentment.
Nevertheless, a life coach can help address both circumstances and allow for you to move forward in life.
Suggestion…..
- Take time out
- List all your fears on paper
- Face your fears
- Look at the evidence
- Talk about it
- Let go
Make a Gratitude List
Let’s take a fish as an example and for this example, we’ll name the fish Nemo.
Nemo lives in the water and has many collectible pearls, gems and shells. He absolutely loves the things he owns and is grateful to have them. However, one day Nemo went searching for food and on his return, found that all his belongings had been taken away. Nemo has now lost his gratitude and has become resentful. Nemo is unable to enjoy life and carries on with a negative mindset.
To us, it is quite obvious that the water supporting Nemo’s life is more important and valuable than the tiny things he owns. But to Nemo, who lives in the water, only the things he owns are important and valuable; he does not notice the water.
The same goes for us, we are so grateful for the things we own, however, as soon as we lose them or have them taken away, we become resentful and bitter. We don’t see the life that supports us, the divine ocean of greatness.
Instead of focusing on the things that are expendable, we should be focusing on the system that is non expendable and that supports our very existence. We should be grateful that we are alive.
Suggestion…..
Take the time once a day to list 3 things you are grateful for. This will help bring your mind back to the truth.
Set yourself up for Success
Your reality is what you make it.
All of the following help create your reality, as all are directly linked to your subconscious mind:
- What you listen to
- What you see
- What you speak
- What you do
“The function of your subconscious mind is to store and retrieve data. Its job is to ensure that you respond exactly the way you are programmed. Your subconscious mind makes everything you say and do fit a pattern consistent with your self-concept, your master program.”
If you are seeking a successful life and know exactly what that entails, then set yourself up for success.
Suggestion…..
- Listen to positive, inspirational and motivational messages
- Surround yourself with positive people
- Speak the way you would like to be spoken to; with love, professionalism, words of wisdom that entail useful information etc.
- Put yourself in good company and positive environments, where you have opportunities for growth, and not have the risk of being pulled back down.
This type of programming is the same in nature to when we try to set up young infants with positive sounds and messages, hoping they start with a strong foundation in their subconscious minds.
Address your Resentments
The Psychological Health Barrier of resentment blocks us from experiencing wellness.
We all interpret things differently. What may seem common sense to some may not seem so common to others as we all have experienced life differently. This means that we may take someone’s actions or words in a negative manner and become resentful, even though that was not the intent.
The problem occurs when this resentment stirs up in the mind causing us to behave differently and sometimes leading us to make bad decisions.
We may have many other things to blame for our bad day/week/month/years, but the fact of the matter is that the root cause was the result of that simple resentment/misunderstanding.
To resolve is to look back and to look back requires understanding.
Suggestion…..
- Work with a Life Coach to address your resentments
Address your Greed
The Psychological Health Barrier of greed blocks us from experiencing wellness.
An individual who is greedy will always want more and therefore not experience contentment, which is a component of Spiritual Wellness. In turn, causing the mind to be blocked from experiencing true happiness.
Greed is usually caused by desire and desire is usually a by product of consumerism/marketing. Everything we see on TV or even on social media is aimed to sell you something. When you are not buying anything, society and marketers are not happy.
Everything on TV/Social Media is essentially programmed to enhance your desires!
Suggestion…..
- Watch less TV/social media
- Go for a walk
- Play with your kids
- Read a book
Choose your Journey
There are two ways we can journey through life, we can either choose to go through life or we can choose to grow through life.
Going through life we only earn and chase the fruits in life. We are constantly stuck in the work, chores, family and sleep cycle.
Growing through life we get to learn and enjoy eating the fruits of life on a daily basis. We incorporate wellness within our work, chores, family and sleep cycle and we become motivated in pursuing the things we love doing.
As per the law of attraction, a negative mind will attract negative outcomes. Whereas a positive mind will attract positive outcomes. Connect with the universe and set your reality up for success.
Make the best out of life by spending time on self care and working through your barriers.
Suggestion…..
- Work with a Life Coach and reap the rewards
Helping Others
“If you light a lamp for somebody, it will also brighten your path.” – Buddha
As indicated in many previous posts, ego and self-centeredness is the root cause of unhappiness. From it stems all kinds of mental health issues and spiritual disconnections.
Some mental health issues are depression, anxiety, fear, and/or addictions.
Spiritual disconnection is the separation from the universe. It is also the separation from the ability to think at a higher level, where the positive energy that brings an individual closer to true happiness is of no avail. Keep in mind, that happiness is the true measure of success.
“There is no exercise better for the heart than reaching down and lifting people up.” -John Holmes
The best way to get out of ourselves, is to help others. Give without the expectation to receive.
“To ease another’s heartache is to forget one’s own.” – Abraham Lincoln
The best ways to help others:
- Smile and be friendly
- Volunteer/Service work
- Donate something you don’t use
- Redirect gifts
- Stop to help
- Take the time to teach someone a skill you know
- Comfort someone in grief
- Buy food for a homeless person
- Donate food
Practice Honesty
Dishonest behaviours will get you dishonest results.
In today’s world, dishonesty is heavily practiced. People lie even when they don’t need to lie. Most of the time, it’s the easier softer way, where the mind will want to take short cuts to avoid fights with the spouse, questions from children, rejection from employers or even to make a quick financial gain . Whatever the case, many do not tell the truth as the truth is usually accompanied by uncertainty. Therefore, most individuals will feel a lack of control and lie.
Control is our dilemma, we control people, places and things to avoid jeopardizing our ambitions, security and/or relationships.
As lies pile up over time, our minds become busy in coordinating and managing our stories. This can be quite the task and sometimes take a toll on ones health, leading to mental health issues such as depression, anxiety or fear.
Most of us have experienced bad times. These are sometimes the result of our own making. Take a closer look, did you play a part in that bad experience, were you dishonest or selfish in nature and put yourself in a situation to be hurt?
To know the problem one must see the problem. Take the time, when you retire at night, to journal on the parts of your day where you had been dishonest and see where you can make improvements.
To achieve optimal Wellness and live a healthier life, that is filled with positive outcomes, one must become honest.
Suggestion…..
- Figure out why you lie and who you lie to via Journaling/Life Coach
- Anticipate behaviours that will make you feel guilty
- Stop comparing yourself to others
- Accept the consequence and decide to face them
- Avoid situations in which you’ll have to lie for others
Mindful Meditation
Meditation is a practice in which the person is focused or deep in thought for a period of time. Because practicing meditation helps you to slow your breath, quiet your mind, and find peace, it can be beneficial physically, mentally, and emotionally. Meditation is now commonly used to treat mental health disorders, addiction, and everyday stress.
Most people, including myself, will have so many thoughts racing in and out of the mind, throughout the day. In the morning, we find ourselves racing to get out the door. We have so much to do and so little time to do it, so we become irritated, stressed and sometimes angry. On top of our morning duties, our mind is thinking about finances, relationships, vacations, self-image, fears and is typically always either in the past or in the future. It never seems to sit still in the present moment. Then at work it’s constantly being utilized to carry out multiple tasks, however, still stuck in future and past thoughts. In the evening, the mind still does not wind down as it should. In addition to our constant worries and fears, we are bombarded with new emotions that result from the day. These include resentments, self-pity, depression, and jealousy. We may think we live in chaos but the real chaos resides in the mind. This in turn, affects how we perceive the world and how we behave in it. The program of action tackles this very key problem when completed.
Suggestion…..
- Connect with a Life Coach who can get you through a program of action and promote mindful meditation and overall wellness.
