Being raised in the Church, I was taught to serve, serve, serve.
Of course serving is a key expression of God’s beauty and love for mankind; but not truly understood until later in life.
Serving comes from within…
You can’t pour from an empty cup!
You can’t give what you don’t have.
Honoring Thy Self means…valuing your own well being and worth.
Knowing yourself, listening to your body- mind and spirit.
Know when to take breaks, pause – or to be still.
This takes time. The mature ME, can only give time and energy to precious priorities.
Giving and honoring self first is the ultimate and most important service of all. In doing so we are WELL for those we serve.
