When I was starting out in my business, I was so often told this: “you don’t know what you don’t know”. And my first thought was, “well duh”.

But at the same time it got me thinking: how do I find out what I don’t know, if I don’t know what I’m trying to find out?

You can’t ask the questions you’re meant to be asking if you don’t know what they are. Sort of a catch 22 type scenario.

Sure, you could type it into Google, but who has a trillion years to read through all the articles, find which ones relate to them and then go and ask Google, again, all the subsequent questions that come up from each article?

All while you’re meant to be starting your business!

Enter analysis paralysis. The bottomless pit of research, review, ask, more research until you’ve wasted an entire year “working” toward your business with nothing to show for it.

These days, our egos are so flipping big that we’re too proud to ask for help.

We’d rather cut off our noses to spite our faces, just to say that we did it all by ourselves.

The speed at which things change these days, everything you’ll have learned will be different by the time you get around to implementing it!

I have spoken to many military spouses in business who said me to “I wish you’d been around when I was starting my business”.

I’m not saying this to blow my own trumpet (although I’m also not going to lie, it was great to hear!). I’m saying this because IT IS OK TO NEED HELP!

If successful people now, can look back and say that they would have welcomed guidance while they were starting out, this has to tell you something.

Think how much time you could save yourself by investing in a coach; someone who has the experience you need, speaks your language and wants to see you succeed.

Do you know what time equals? Money. Yep, I said it.

The time you saved by investing in help, and therefore yourself, instead of months and even years trying to find all the answers yourself, is time getting your business operational and bringing in revenue.

Getting a coach is not the lazy solution, it is the efficient solution. You will learn things about yourself you didn’t know, become someone you didn’t know you could be and achieve things you didn’t know you could achieve.

How do I know? Not because I am one, but because I invested in one and it was the best investment I ever made.

Put your ego aside. Ask for the help you don’t think you need. In six months, you’ll wonder why you didn’t do it sooner – I promise you.
