I start my day with prayer and meditation, and I do a little bit of exercise and go ahead and make my journaling. I write down all the the things needed to be accomplished during the day. At the end of my day I cross out the things I have done and it feels good. Try it yourself. Preparing for your day is for me, waking up early in the morning and reflect a little bit then start doing the tasks so that at he end of the day, you will be surprised how much of productivity you have done. 

Setting up yourself in the morning is a good way to start and end your day, feeling good and so you can be there for others as well.
