I think the word hustle is WAY overused.

I work Monday to Friday 9-5, with a break at lunchtime to eat with my family.

To me, that is nowhere close to hustle…that’s around 35 hours a week…that is WAY less than I did for all of my time in corporate.

To me hustle is working 18 hour days…5 or even 6 and 7 days a week.

I think that too many people are using the word to just mean that they work on their business full time…to me, that’s not hustle, that’s just work…

Now do I think my results would be even better if our more time in – I absolutely do (and I know some people will disagree with me on this – saying it’s not the hours that matter – but for me, there are things I’d like to do more of in my business and more hours would let me do that)

Do I want to work more?

Actually, sometimes I do! I really enjoy working!

But this season in my life, with 2 children under 3, I also don’t want to miss time with my family and that is more important to me right now…

And you know what….I actually often feel LAZY that I “only” work a 35 hour week whilst growing a business…

I feel like I want to (and should be) working 50-60 hour weeks at least…to get me to my goals faster…but then I am one of those people who, if I did work 60 hours a week I’d probably feel like I wanted to work 80 hours a week!!

So I think that most business owners and entrepreneurs and nowhere close to hustling, not by my definition of the word…

What do you think?
What is hustle to you?
Do you believe that hustle is a good thing?
