I was able to have a chat with Matt Wien who is the Vice President of Holonis Inc and a serial entrepreneur. He has built multiple businesses in digital marketing, technology, and music exceeding 8 figures in revenue. I asked him a few questions about his day to day life and upbringing, here is what he had to say.

I know this is not an easy job. What drives you Matt?

I’m driven daily by the desire to create a good life for my beautiful wife and daughter. I’m driven to achieve a level of happiness and harmony with the universe that becomes contagious. I’m driven to help as many people in this world as I can before I leave it.

That is definitely some great motivation! None of us are able to achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? What lesson did you learn from them?

My father has been a role model in my life and consistently demonstrated to me how to stand up to adversity and rise to meet every challenge that is presented to you. My grandfather left an immutable impression on me to always “be one of the good guys” and imparted on me the gift of gab.

Richard Hollis has been a guide and mentor for nearly a decade. Our daily exchanges have helped crystalize many insights about humanity, business and the universe that have shaped my career and given me the gift of a better perspective on both the business world and the natural one.

So, how do you push through your worst times?

For me, it’s always been about realizing that EVERYTHING is temporary… the worst times and the best. This has helped me look beyond the temporary pain or challenges in hard times and also reminded me to appreciate the good times while they last.
