For the most part, the one thing that holds anyone back the most is their own mindset and fears. You have to learn how to change your mindset if you’re not growing and you need to break free from your fears. CEO of Prospecting On Demand, Alex Schlinsky, knows what it takes in order to succeed and get past your own personal barriers.
Schlinsky’s company helps coaches, consultants, and agency owners implement the systems and strategies necessary to scale their company and become successful CEO’s. He is able to do this because of all of his experience in being a renowned Business Coach, Speaker, and Entrepreneur.
He shared techniques on how he stays motivated and also his own personal definition of success, here it is.
What techniques and methods do you use day to day to stay continuously motivated, focused and proactive when fear, hardships, and procrastination have the best of you?
Esoterically, I’m driven by my WHY. More tactically, I’ve used the following:
My calendar, KanBan Flow for task organization, and Slack for my community and team communication.
My personal methods for motivation stem from a specific morning routine that I try to follow rigorously. A morning walk and run, coffee, 10-15 minutes of meditation, and 30 minutes to myself with no business-related tasks. Perspective, gratitude and win reflections have been a key motivator for me.
I’ve curbed procrastination with KanBan Flow and my calendar.
For fear and hardships, I know when to step away, I know it’s okay to not be okay, and I keep in constant communication with my wife and business partner Shira.
We both use meditation and yoga as ways to balance ourselves and collect our thoughts. Journaling has helped too!
What is your definition of success?
My definition of success is comprehensive and deliberate. The more clarity I have on my definition, the more successful I can be.
Success to me is true freedom. Freedom to do what I want, when I want, with whom I want, as much as I want.
Success to me is creating an impact and attempting to make the world a better place every day. In making an indelible impression upon individuals or communities far exceeding solely financial gains.
Success to me is having and providing for a family. To be a good husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and overall human being.
Success is my definition and mine alone. No one can define success for me, and only I can determine whether or not I’m successful.
