Navigating through life may mean that you have to make a stretch of small and big decisions along the way; however experts say that successful people seek expert advice, set time limits and embrace imperfections to make quality day to day decisions.

It is important to seek subject matter opinion on some of your choices. Experts can enlighten you about whatever it is you might need and help you understand the pros and the cons of the subject. For example, making a choice about the best airline to fly with may mean that you seek advice from a good travel agent.

Equally important is the need to avoid over-analyzing issues. So many people turn and overturn issues and this can cause confusion and decision fatigue. According to research by the Journal of personality and social psychology at the University of Minnesota, decision fatigue exists and can weaken your persistence in the face of failure and lead to passivity.

Thirdly to make better and quicker decisions you should set a deadline and be determined to return with an answer with that set time in mind. By setting a time, it keeps the circle of time short and keeps you in check against overstretching the time.

Lastly, embrace uncertainties and admit your mistakes. Uncertainties can be uncomfortable, but knowing that no circumstance is perfect could ease the fear that comes with the thought of making a wrong decision. Also, simply learning to admit that you have made a mistake and moving on, will help you work your way through life.
