Lupus nephritis is inflammation of the kidney that is caused by an autoimmune disease. Symptoms include swelling and pain in the legs, ankles, feet or less frequently, the hands and face. Other symptoms include weight gain, high blood pressure, dark or foamy urine and may vary based on the day or person.
