there is a moment
an absolutely exquisite moment
that happens when we are present
when we suddenly hear what is really being said.
when the situation invites us to pivot
from what we thought was going to happen
to what is happening.
in that moment
if we are present and spontaneous enough to go with it,
if we are willing to pivot, miracles happens.
we see what we didn’t see one moment before.
what we thought we were here to do
changes to what we are here to do.
so often in business, we miss this pivot.
fixed not spontaneous
we stay connected to what we came in to do
and we listen but do not hear.
things happen fast.
and unless we are present and spontaneous,
we miss the opportunity to connect to something different,
which would activate our business in a way we can not see
because we are fixed on what we do see.
pivot
is that moment when we see what we never saw before.
it happens when we are free enough to be present
to listen and hear
and to see what we are being shown.
we cannot do this if we come in with a script
of what we want to accomplish.
when we know our purpose
we can pivot to address the need they are sharing with us
rather than return to our script of what we think our benefit is.
when we are present, we can be spontaneous
suddenly their are doors everywhere
when we trust the connection to the moment
it will shows us where to go,
we do not need to know, it will guide us.
spontaneity opens connection to something fresh and new
and activates direction previously unseen.
this is what happens when we spontaneous enough
to trust the connection.
what was changes to what is.
knowing surrenders to the unknown
the crumbs on the floor become the banquet on the table.
this is the power of the pivot.
be free. be spontaneous, be open. see the pivot.
this is the mosaic.

i wrote the above 3 years ago, my thoughts on it today:

I LOVE THIS.
the pivot is the difference between innovation and status quo
and yet so few are aware of this moment,
life moves so quickly,
unless we are very aware, the pivot happens and we miss it
in our businesses, in our families, in our personal lives.

to experience the pivot, we must first go within
and slow the movement of the world down
this is an amazing result of getting quiet,
the space between the moments grows
and what was once moving fast now slow down.
this is matrix stuff.

and in that slowing down,
suddenly we see things differently, we hear things we didn’t hear
life happens at the same speed outwardly,
but in slow motion inwardly
allowing us to experience everything through our senses.
sight, hearing, taste, smell, touch all feel different

opportunities open,
and in this space pivots happen.

if you are interested in experiencing this connection
please let’s have a conversation.
this is The Mosaic.

    Visionary. Author. Magician. Mentor. Speaker.

Daniel Levin walked away from an opportunity to run a billion dollar business, to hitchhike around the world to find happiness and inner peace.   His life has been a combination of incredible victories and massive defeats. He left the seminary one day before being ordained a Rabbi, and lived as a monk in a monastery for 10 years.  He has meditated every day for over 45 years. He has run a restaurant, a publishing house, a market, a meditation retreat, has owned and run a clothing company, a branding company and a coaching business.   He was the Director of Business Development at Hay House and led it’s growth from $3,000,000 to $100,000,000 in revenue over a 10 year time span.  He started DbL, by branding “the most anticipated hotel opening of the year 2013” according to USA Today, The Andaz Maui @ Wailea Resort and Spa. The book he wrote for them, The Ohana of Red Earth created a corporate culture of family not staff.   Levin is a rare blend of mystic and business guy. He is a storyteller and the beautiful story he weaves in his book, The Mosaic touches the hearts of people and soothes their souls. It is a story about loss and discovery, about seeing the things we can’t see, about knowing the value of every living thing, and about connection.   He is married to his soul mate who teaches him what it means to love and be loved. He is the father of a beautiful special needs daughter who teaches him that he is able to do far more than he ever thought possible; the step father of a handsome and fun loving teenage boy who helps him remember how powerful fear is; and a brilliant and beautiful teenage daughter who reminds him how important it is to live inside out; and #hashtag, their adorable and loving golden retriever who reminds him that life is all about play.   They live by the ocean feeling very blessed, loving others and helping people get what they want.
