Unconsciously we do a little prayer as soon as we wake up, may it be a wish or just a simple reminder that God is within us. So here’s how to do it with grace.

Our parents are the first persons who taught us how to pray. As I child I was practiced to pray before I go to sleep and upon waking up. Our best influences are our elders. And I thank them from them from the bottom of my heart for it.

“Angel of God, my Guardian dear, to whom God’s love commits me here; Ever this day, be at my side. To light and guard. To rule and guide. Amen”–This is the child’s prayer for protection, that up until now I practice before I go to sleep.

Now, upon waking up I then reach for my prayer book, that was gifted to me:  “Straight from the heart” by Fr. Mario Ladra. It has a lot of prayer dedicated to a lot of human necessities and has prayers for saints for thy petition. It is very handy and candid. It is perfect for daily use.

I guess if we pray like a child, with all our innocence, Grace happens, the holy spirit and God gives us energy and fuel within the day, if we just as sincerely.
