At a time we remember those who gave everything so we could live ours, connects me with child hood memories of our freedom to create and to nurture our imagination. Through Dr Seuss books, he taught us about everything from courage, gratitude and fundamentally that anything is possible. His stories immersed the minds of many with endless possibilities.

A constant source of inspiration, he empowered children to dare to dream and that life is what you make of it. Move those mountains. Stand in your power. Let your imagination run wild. The only limitation would be your own imagination. His legendary words taught us about the importance of reading, perseverance, showing up and doing the work. Taking massive imperfect action. Ultimately, he gifted us with finding the courage to be YOU.

Still to this day, his words of wisdom echo through the minds of adults as their inner child is activated. Dr Seuss lives forever imprinting messages of self-love, an internal journey to growth, to look forward and create a better future.

Let’s step in within the realms of his wondrous imagination to gift us the beauty of wisdom, to lift our minds to think at a higher level and open our hearts with new inspiration to think and feel with greater possibilities.

WHY FIT IN WHEN YOU WERE BORN TO STAND OUT?

Acceptance of self and embracing all of you is far more pertinent today than ever before. Standing in your power. Magnifying your DNA — your strengths, to leave an imprint that you only can. Harness your individuality and set alight the greatness. Treasure the imperfections, celebrate the uniqueness that you bring and when you find your tribe of weirdness, collectively uplift each other to live your dreams.

YOU’LL MISS THE BEST THINGS IF YOU KEEP YOUR EYES SHUT

As a child we see the world without filters and with an innate insatiable curiosity. As we progress through life, our internal limits restrict our true potential. Reconnect to your inner child and see the world through the lens of loving to learn.

A PERSON’S A PERSON, NO MATTER HOW SMALL

In world where there is a lack of compassion, connection and love, everyone deserves the same respect irrespective of religion, ethnicity and race. Respect our uniqueness as we are all one. Make the world a better place. Take individual responsibility and collectively we can make a change. You matter. Your voice counts. Everyone matters and deserves to be seen. Together we can make a difference.

CHOOSING YOUR OWN DIRECTION

You have brains in our head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose. Life is full of choices. Take that first step and keep moving forward.

CONTINUAL IMPROVEMENT — NEVER ENDING LEARNING

Investing in your learning stretches your thinking and provides opportunities to expand your unfamiliar zones. Beyond the knowledge being a source of power, Dr Seuss introduced the hidden gem of how we prefer to learn. If only education systems recognised the significance of learning preferences and how they can improve the quality of life for all. He gave the gift of encouraging you to figure out how you best learn — are you a visual learner preferring mind maps and images? Perhaps an audio learner listening to pod casts or a kinaesthetic learner preferring to do things. What works for you?

LIFE IS LIKE A BIG CONNECT THE DOTS GAME

Our imagination is a powerful driver, providing opportunity to explore our thoughts and to be able to test and review. The gift of taking imperfect action. We make connections to assist us in seeing the picture and what often happens is the creative person can often spot the whole picture before others, inspiring us to look for the very thing we cannot see in front of us.

STEPPING INTO WHO YOU ARE BECOMING — ADULTS ARE OBSOLETE CHILDREN

One of the greatest lessons was the key message of only you being in control of your future. We are 100% responsible for our thoughts, our responses and how we live our life. Waking up the child that lives inside of us. Connect with your dreams, your passion and inspiration. Ignite the fire within and take that first step for you. I dare you….

How has Dr Seuss inspired you to be you and exercise your world of imagination?
