It has been said that you must know yourself before you wreck yourself.

Hmm… maybe that’s not exactly the quote, but it should be. Knowing who you are deep down in your core and what makes you tick, is a scary good feeling.

Have you ever looked into the mirror and just stared at yourself? Not at your flaws, or at your makeup or hair, but deep into your own eyes? Try staring into your own eyes for a few minutes. Look deep. It might feel uncomfortable at first, but it is just you and your soul, so don’t feel weird. At some point deep into that stare, you’ll notice your soul staring back at you, and you can’t help but smile.

Maybe I’m weird, but I do every once in a while and it feels good to make that connection. This week, however, I feel stared into my soul in another way.

On the Eventual Millionaire Podcast, Jamie Masters noted that a common factor among many of the millionaires that she has interviewed is that they all know who they are. Most of them have done this by having their personalities analyzed, so I decided to take an assessment as well. The last personality assessment I completed was over ten years ago, and since then I have gone from working a 9–5 job, to being a stay-at-home mother of four, an entrepreneur, and a writer.

I took the free 16 Personalities Test, and I couldn’t be more mesmerized. The results were eerily accurate and presented in such a way that it feels like your best friend wrote a report on you and reached inside of your brain to fill in any missing parts. Also, the results synthesize your personality in all areas of your life, including your relationships, parenthood, career paths, and workplace habits.

According to my results, I am an Extraverted, Intuitive, Feeling, Prospecting, Assertive Campaigner. Because of my Campaigner personality type, I want you to know everything about me, and I want to know everything about you, so we can instantly bond and have a deeper emotional connection. Realistically, however, I know that you probably aren’t really interested in my full profile, so I want to share with you the parts that are important related to this my blog and its purpose.

The Campaigner Personality Type (via 16 Personalities)

It doesn’t interest me what you do for a living. I want to know what you ache for — and if you dare to dream of meeting your heart’s longing. It doesn’t interest me how old you are. I want to know if you will risk looking like a fool — for love — for your dreams — for the adventure of being alive.

Why is Sharing My Personality Type Important to You?

Because I have been open about my journey to find and pursue my purpose, I wanted you to see that in learning more about myself it has helped me discover that I am moving in the right direction, and aligning myself to work that makes me tick. I learned that the careers that I would thrive in are ones that I am actively pursuing, entrepreneur and writer (although I still have hopes of being on SNL one day and maybe being a detective).

If you are a regular follower of my blog, I want to you know me better. I want you to feel connected with me as you read my posts. I want you to know that my intentions are pure and that I wholeheartedly believe in the content I am putting out.

Lastly, because I feel strongly about this personality assessment and how accurate it was for me, I want you to also take the assessment to learn more about yourself. I want you to also live in your strengths, and to be exactly who you set out to be before you entered this world. And if you need the motivation to do so, I and this blog are here for you.

So yeah, this is me. Cherie, The Campaigner (green lips and all).

Who are you? REALLY, I want to know. Add your personality to the comments. I can’t wait to learn more.
