90% of the things we invent or venture into were once invented by someone. What is it that humans haven’t invented before? Is it cars? Planes? The internet?

9 years ago, 4G internet was invented. But it’s not like there wasn’t the internet a decade back. 4G was only an improvement of the world web that was already in place.

It is after looking at things with this perspective that I came to this conclusion

“We all need someone to show us the way of things”

Instead of just focusing on learning how to do something that is already in place, we can let someone show us how it’s done so that we spend less time on learning and instead dig deeper into our potential.

That’s the fundamental reason why you need a coach.

A coach will help you bring out what’s inside of you and use your talents to help you improve your products and grow.

A coach will give you the answers and show you the way!

When I started my Freelance writing career, all I knew was to write. I didn’t know how to find clients that needed my services and boy! How I struggled.

It took me close to a year to figure out things yet I had bills to pay and kids to cater for.

Many years down the road, I learned that had I hired a coach, I would have mastered in 2 months what took me a year.

I learned to choose a niche, find clients, grow my social media base and build a healthy online presence.

Today I mentor and coach fellow writers so that they don’t face what I went through.

A coach will kick you in the butt out of your comfort zone

I know this sounds harsh but it isn’t as harsh as it sounds. Usually, the reason you are stuck and feel like thawing hands up is that you lack someone to encourage you to move forward.

It’s the way of the World to feel this way. Nothing abnormal about it but the problem is in getting out of that place to where you need to head.

A blunt butt-kicker coach can make you believe in yourself again and make sure you act on things so that you get moving.

What kind of coach do I need?

So, I would say, you need a coach depending on your context.

But these qualities stand out in every good coach.

They should connect with you on an emotional level and give you wisdom, support, and inspiration based on their experience.

If you feel that you need someone to maternal you then you probably need to see a therapist or a Councillor. Although a coach should connect on an emotional level, they must demand that you grow.

The best business coach is someone that has been where you are, done it, gathered experience and now wants to share.

In a few words, a good coach is a mentor and a coach in one basket.

There are lots of online coaches working remotely but It’s not so easy to find all these values with one person unless someone recommends a specific coach.

If you can, get a coach that is based in your country or at least understands the running of things in your location. Let’s say you are a corporation in the UK or someone starting out in London, you need a coach that will build your personal branding London because they understand the London market better.
