Dr. Heidi L. Pottinger is a Director of Clinical Investigations in the department of Health Promotion Sciences at the University of Arizona and Founder & Executive Director of the nonprofit Child Health & Resilience Mastery (CHARM), a nonprofit focused on strengthening resilience in children and families. CHARM is also the not-for-profit Arizona ambassador of the Choose Love Movement.

Scarlett Lewis is the Founder and CEO of the Jesse Lewis Choose Love Movement, a nonprofit organization focused on teaching social and emotional learning in homes, schools, and community settings across the world. The Choose Love Enrichment Program, inspired by her son Jesse’s message of “Nurturing Healing Love”, has now reached all 50 U.S. states, and DC, and is being taught in over 80 countries worldwide.

    Dr. Heidi Pottinger is a director of clinical investigations in the department of health promotion sciences at the University of Arizona, founder of the nonprofit Child Health and Resilience Mastery (CHARM), and a fellow of The OpEd Project. Over her career, she has focused extensively on education, research, and service efforts. She has a doctorate in maternal & child health and dual master's degrees in biomedical & health ethics and global family & child health. She is passionate about empowering others to cultivate resilience and well-being, especially through evidence- and strengths-based approaches. Originally from the U.S.-Mexico border town of Nogales, she now lives in Tucson, Arizona with her husband and two young children.
