Individuals, not Millennials

I have had my fair share of the criticism. I have had to struggle to explain myself to people who would rather not understand. My age has become a weapon they use against me. They discourage me from trying because if I fail, it is blamed on me being a millennial. I can not walk away from things that drain me before someone concludes that I'm just a millennial and that is what we do. The sad part is that even boardroom discussions are based on “Accommodating the Millennials.” Full grown men and women who can’t think beyond their biases. These biases they claim to be ‘Experience.' It makes you wonder how they got to their positions. At such top levels, we need critical thinkers; but here we are. Who defined an entire generation and reduced them to one title. Who authorized that people treat you according to the year you were born? The term has been misused, overused. Do not give anyone a chance to reduce you to a perceived title. You are a person before any title. Feel free to fail, take risks, and challenge anyone defining you as a millennial for the trials you make. WE ARE INDIVIDUALS NOT MILLENIALS.
