When you have the opportunity to ask some of the most interesting people in the world about their lives, sometimes the most fascinating answers come from the simplest questions. The Thrive Questionnaire is an ongoing series that gives an intimate look inside the lives of some of the world’s most successful people.

Thrive Global: What’s the first thing you do when you get out of bed?
Jolie Hunt: Sneak into my son’s room to snatch him out of his crib.

TG: What gives you energy?
JH: When the good guys win, solving a juicy problem and seeing smart, capable people rise to the occasion.

TG: What’s your secret life hack?
JH: Getting my hair done every morning.

TG: Name a book that changed your life.
JH: Don’t Sweat The Small Stuff by Richard Carlson.

TG: Tell us about your relationship with your phone. Does it sleep with you? JH: Indentured servitude. Yes, unfortunately.

TG: How do you deal with email?
JH: Occasionally.

TG: You unexpectedly find 15 minutes in your day, what do you do with it? JH: Nap.

TG: When was the last time you felt burned out and why?
JH: Honestly? Every Friday night. Working moms are ALWAYS tired.

TG: When was the last time you felt you failed and how did you overcome it?
JH: I don’t focus on failure. What a pointless exercise. I practice success and spend every day trying to perfect that.

TG: Share a quote that you love and that gives you strength or peace.
JH: “When people reveal themselves, believe them.” It saves me so much time.
