Journaling is one of the best and fastest ways to connect with your higher self and engage your subconscious mind.

You have heard that journaling is great to keep sane, focused and productive. It also, improves your mood, helps you be calmer, more trusting in your inner guidance and overall happier.

I call my journal “my pocket psychotherapist-life coach” Because it is always ready to give me inspiration, support and unlimited ideas. Always happy to make me feel at ease, save and listened to.

Yes, this is how I feel when I write my thoughts, feelings, dreams and visions on the pages of my diaries. I feel like I’m talking to someone who is always listening to me, unconditionally and without judging.

What you might not have heard is that Journaling is a very effective tool for manifestation.

Manifesting your desires starts with mindset. Check out your belief system. Ensure that you don’t have “resistance” towards your desires. Be clear about what you want and why. Then act as if you already have it. Be super grateful for all that you have. Finally follow inspired action. You then train your subconscious into believing that all you desire is already yours. When your subconscious “knows” that you already have it the Universe delivers. It is the law.

Mindset shifting doesn’t happen overnight. Be patient. Start with little easy things. Many little things soon become a big thing. But do these little things consistently.

For example, if you want to manifest

Abundance — Don’t buy the cheapest stuff, buy whatever you like best that you can afford and make a mental note to come back for more or for all the things you like soon.

Your Soulmate — Sleep on side of the bed, living his/her side free. Go window shopping for their birthday present.

The Career of your Dreams — Practice talking and being like that Career person you see yourself as. Play that you are a __________________ just like when we were kids.

New amazing friends — Put music on at full blast and dance your soul away imagining that you are dancing with your new amazing friends.

Perfect Health — Appreciate every part of your body that is healthy. Appreciate it deeply. Talk to your body with heartfelt appreciation.

Journaling serves all the above powerfully. I’ve made journaling a habit to experience transformation and manifest a better version of myself and all my dreams.

Make time for yourself to journal every day, you will see an amazing difference specially when keep at it until it’s a habit you can’t shake.

Journaling from time to time, now and then is not effective for manifesting.

The Writing Method


  1. Think about what you want. Preferably one thing only, each time you are journaling. Make it very clear by writing in detail about what it is.
  2. Now write down why. Why exactly do you want this thing? What does it mean to you and why? What will you do when you have it and why? How will you feel and Why? Ask and answer as many whys as you can possibly fit in or as many as you feel like.
  3. Next, think of the answers you gave about “ How will you feel” and focus on that. How will you feel? Ask your subconscious to show you exactly what it feels like (what you will feel when you get your desires). Your subconscious will answer immediately and you will start feeling those feelings. Stay there for a few seconds, minutes or as long as you can or want. Treasuring those feelings.
  4. After that take the time you can or you want to simply begin to write on your diary as if you have already what you want. You have it right here in front of you. Be sure to be extremely convincing, and firm. Write about what you are going to do now that you have it, write about how you feel and about how great it is to have this.

The List Method

Write the following list on your diary leaving blanks in between sections. Then fill in the blanks. Repeat each day, filling the blanks equally or differently as required or as desired.

Feelings Scan


You can customise this list and make it to be whatever you like.

Mantra. Ideally, this would be the same every day. Decide what your personal mantra is and repeat it every day for several minutes.

Write down 3 things (or more) that you are grateful about. Ideally, this would be mostly different every day. In my case two of the items are always different, however the first is always the same. I’m super grateful for my beautiful, adorable, handsome, loving, caring, intelligent, bright, giving, kind two children. I’m thankful for them every single day.

10 New ideas. This can be anything from work ideas, business ideas, creating an online course to home improvements, to surprising loved ones, to where to go on holiday, plan your next adventure, what book to read this week. One day my 10 ideas were about 10 things I would change or improve my bedroom, one of the things was to arrange my closet in a colour coded fashion. I love it. Let your 10 ideas be anything to make you happy.

My daily Visualisation. Choose a visualisation for the day. Something you want to see manifest. Then remember to stop 3 or 4 times during the day to visualise this.

Today’s self-love. Decide what you will do today to show love to yourself. Don’t forget to do it when planned and enjoy it fully. It can be just a simple as a head massage, a pedicure, a hot bath, enjoying your favourite ice cream. Make a great moment of it.

My goals. Write your goals every day. Your monthly goals your yearly goals. Your life long goals. The goals that most matter to you.

Small steps. Write all your ideas about the small steps you will take to re-program your subconscious. The small easy things you will do to help you with your mindset shifting. Write as many different things as you can think of so that you never run out of things you can do to manifest your dreams. Take the small steps daily. You can do a couple of steps each day or just one. You can do different ones each day or keep to the same. The small steps is all about making room and preparing for the shower of blessings and miracles heading your way.

My happiness score. Decide what is your happiness score at the beginning of the day. Write a number 1–10. I normally write 10 and it works pretty well. If I don’t feel as great I write, 8 or 7 what this does is clearly show me that it’s up to me.

Feelings Scan. Do a scan to determine how you are feeling. What are the predominant emotion and the underlying one?

I read that we have two emotions Fear and Love. The rest are feelings.

Forgive the bad emotion and feelings. Praise the good emotion and feelings and focus on those good ones all day long or as and when possible. Ride on the good feelings whenever you remember and for as long as you can.

Surrender your desires: Ask once. After that You already have it. Surrender.

Use journaling and you will experience transformation very soon.

Once I needed information on a topic to write about, I wasn’t sure about exactly how to get the information, the next day that exact information I was wanting was the first thing to show up on my Facebook feed.

I wanted to write about the topic. I didn’t really know how to focus it. The answer came to me on a YouTube video I watched that had nothing to do with the topic.

  • Yesterday I manifested £540 at exactly the time I needed it. By saying exactly the time I needed it I mean that if it had come a few minutes earlier I would have lost some of it. If I had not manifested it exactly yesterday I would have missed out on something.
  • I feel guided throughout the day and tuned in with my inner self and with the universe.
  • I feel productive. I accomplish my daily goals.
  • I’m more present! I enjoy food more. This is a real shocker. I can’t believe I have been eating all my life yet hardly ever savouring and enjoying all the delicious flavours.
  • I see 11:11 all the time
  • I’m much happier and joyful.
The Actor’s Inspiration Journal

Here is the thing, even though I was a devoted diarist from the age of 11 until the age of 25 and it was amazingly nourishing for me, I stopped. For years life got too fast, too busy and a little too crazy at times.

I didn’t feel I had enough headspace let alone time to write on a journal.
