Today, Speakman was recognized as the Most Influential Producer of 2018 at the 2nd Annual Influencer Awards, held in Bel Air. The Influencer Awards, formerly known as “i100,” celebrates and recognizes those individuals who have established a significant broadening influence through the utilization of traditional and social media.

Nominees are selected in areas of fashion, television and film, health, home, and philanthropy. In conjunction with recognizing professional and social influence, the event also aims to raise funds benefiting a number of charities that assist victims of human trafficking.

According the Jessie Imundi, the Founder of the Influencer Awards, Speakman’s performance is beyond comprehension.

“Kent does the job of twenty people at once; I don’t know how he does it, but we are proud to give him this award for his relentless work in the fight against human trafficking, and so many other important causes.”

The New Age of Social Media Influence

Speakman’s production studio, KNEKT TV, utilizes an award winning live production focus, that creates engaging video content, connecting fans and followers with content that matters. KNEKT quickly became a market leader in live streaming to its OTT platform, “KNEKT.tv,” as well as Facebook Live, YouTube, Periscope, Twitter, and a number of other platforms.

Since early 2017, KNEKT rolled out its own multi-channel network into the marketplaces of Apple TV, Roku, iOS, and Android.

With a library of over 8,500 videos, including series and full-feature length films, KNEKT TV is the largest “socially conscious” focused television network on the market.

Not only is he the CEO of the company, but he is also the Executive Producer for the majority of the live events the platform broadcasts. For example, Speakman has produced hundreds of live segments, working with organizations such as the United Nations Association, Make-A-Wish Foundation, and The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (Daytime Emmy’s).

KNEKT TV had its start in its cutting-edge digital distribution for “Desert Smash,” an annual tennis tournament previously hosted by Hollywood actors, Will Ferrell, Kevin Hart, and Jon Hamm.

“It is truly an honor, and I am so grateful for this award,” Speakman exclaimed. “It comes down to having a great team of people to produce these shows with. Many of the people we work with are not just colleagues, but are friends and family, and I share this excitement with them to be honored for creating impactful content. We have a responsibility to use our influence for good, and it’s a responsibility that I take very seriously.”
