Sometimes, we don’t PLAN to let go and start fresh. We normally PLAN to have everything under control, look good, have a predictable fabulous life with no uncomfortable surprises only expansive joy… you know, kumbaya and bunny rabbits.

And yet as things transition from challenging to atrocious, no amount of trying, working on it, making it happen will create the peace you so desire in your life. When a moment of silence finally arrives, whether via meditation, a calming bath, or a walk to clear your mind and take a break, the quiet whisper of “let go” should arise.

We must learn when it is ok to embrace change, relinquish control, and let things go.  We will find another (job, home, friend, partner). We will create or be in allowance for the universe to provide. We will meet love again. Yet letting go of yourself? Let go of your identity, who you are? Your whole identity was made of the twist and turmoils of your life, the good moments, the bad moments, the hurt, pain, and sorrow.

And yet as we check in with our body, our energy… it will feel different than when you are present with a challenge… yet you know it’s for the Good… you know 10 more sit-ups you’ll reach your goal… you know one more push to reach your truest desire, your dream… a savory delicious challenge that is birthing something magnificent.

When you feel heavy, as if you are holding up the Titanic all by yourself, when you are beyond exhausted, and in the moment you can hardly hear your heart,or sense the Universe has your back – this is your sign to consider letting go.

It will be a challenge to get the old you to no longer want to get your perfect little life all situated again; yet, you are better than that. You are no longer in charge… yes, at choice for sure, but not in charge.

You don’t need to let go of everything to have a fresh start. Just notice where you’ve been in a tug of war and with a giggle, notice you’re not winning, just exhausted. Notice it’s the place where you might have to face looking bad, or letting the other think they’re better than you. Who cares. YOU know the truth, that you are setting YOU free… and then ask for what you want… What would it take for me to have ease here? joy here? creative juices flowing here? magic here?

You have the courage… promise. xoxo A
