The good news is that so much of stress is a mindset, and therefore managing it is within our control. Often people create additional, unnecessary stress simply from their thoughts. For example, if you’re about to deliver a speech and are worrying about  how many people are attending and how they will respond, naturally you will feel anxious. If you switch  your thoughts to why you are there, reminding yourself that you have a message to convey and that message will be helpful and interesting to the people attending, you are likely to relax and be more at ease with the situation. It helps to ask yourself what’s the worst that could happen.  Worrying about something before it happens does nothing to help the situation- ever. Most of the time we find what we worry about was for nothing anyway. So, change your thoughts, limit your stress.
