In a land far away, where books take a twirl Lived two young Maidens, from two different worlds
One grew up in tales, of ancient herstory, afar The other flew from a nation, with the blueness of 50 stars

Coming into a garden, where books put on a show The highlight of their presence, performed a delicate glow
Egypt’s daughter served, as a caretaker of the land Black America’s flower came to capture, the hidden beauty, at hand
A set of wonder, as water gave peaceful blooms The perfect scent of scholarship, while glazed across the rooms
Curiousity of Bastet’s haste, ensured time was not in waste
As blessings from the heavens sparkled endlessly, above The space was a temple of care, as books brought forth true love
A smile thrown here, as they chattered through cheeks of grin Two, young Maidens embraced the moment, for time was just too thin
From table to table, poses were taken on a whim Auras of gratitude, for photographic assistance by him

They giggled, They pranced, While noticing water’s dance
As music of water’s dripples, resembled a waltz’s prance
Posing along together, enchanted by a meet Yet, little did others know, this was not an initial greet
For during a year prior, these two Maidens had directions of change
As the Jazz-colored Maiden, walked hurriedly to a language exchange
At an American garden near, where the story of her country was that
This R&B-Spirited Maiden, taught English conversational chat
Passing by the AUC Bookstore, before taking that special walk; down the block, down the block, taking that special walk A walk to her students, speaking of English talk

Now, back to the land, where books rest sound The tale of two Maidens, lays where books float around
Whispers of Egypt, ancient sonnets, that flew Modern tales of Arabic, and rhythmic taps of Blues
Myriad of cultures, tastes of literary gold These Maidens painted paradises, diligently to uphold
Two pictures of womanhood, crafted in colorful hue Their bond to literary artistry, birthed tales for anew
Enjoying the festivities of ink, captured magic on display The dames posed next to each other, melodies of child and girl play

Whoever knew, the land of books as a delicate lake? For in this novel of bookland, future adventures these two dames would take
A Spirit of pinkened rose, plus the excitement of the sun Two flowers of near and far, shared a bond of literary fun
And as play time came to an end, in a land where books were the trend The Spirit of womanhood, came into bloom, for soon-to-be friends

A tip of farewell, bids of toodles, too Gave lasting memories of bookland, and precious tales of these two Yet, before a bid of farewell, a final photo would do The future would tell of a reunion, if the land desired to
For the Soulful Georgia Maiden, it was time for her to go Yet, the story doesn’t end, as-a-matter of fact, it’s just not so
The sake of these two Maidens, would create a new chapter, soon As memories of book maidens, are restored with fruitful tunes
